do keep in mind that upon trade, the class doesn't necessarily carry over. so you'd have to upgrade its class with nanites after the trade

i'm honestly not sure. i'd assume the class is def random when going thru the trade (exploitat) process. when i tried it with a friend a while back, the traded golden ship was b-class iirc.

we were mostly testing it in the name of science. since i'd never tried the trade exploit/glitch. but i didn't keep testing to see if / how the class would reroll.

if you're on PC, an alternative would be to use a save editor (which you can inquire about in #nms-modding). you'd get it the class you'd want.

Yes normal is much better for new people
Not too many tips, but look up money farms, specifically the crashed ship one.
Shuttles are the worst ship, so don't get them, explorers are best to me because of hyper drive range.
When looking at anything, you can scan it to see stats, for ships that includes storage, class, and price.
Class just means how good something is at base quality
