For all animals scanned? Easiest way is to find planets with the weird / exotic biomes. Those have only 1 animal type on them, always active, not underground / underwater. Makes for easy completion of this milestone. Our #nmscord-hub has 2 such planets, look also for red star systems, those can have more exotic planets as well.

• Always S class;
• Base stats feature good damage and hyperdrive range, but low shields and maneveurability.
• Cannot install non-Living Ship tech, except figurines and starship trails.

• Spawning Sacs are used to upgrade storage, and pre-built Living Ship tech (e.g Wormhole Brain) can drop from Psychonic Eggs. Spawning Sacs and Psychonic Eggs are randomly obtained from fleet expeditions that had at least 1 organic frigate in its composition.
  
  Upgrade modules can be looted from both Psychonic and Melody Eggs. The Melody Egg is a destroyable object, that can spawn as a deep space encounter, after pulsing a certain amount of time with a Living Ship.
  It's suggested to focus searching in uncharted systems, the systems that no race (korvax, vykeen or gek) controls, i.e. don't have a space station.

Installed [C,B,A] class upgrade mods can be evolved with nanites.
Rerolling stats can be done by saving/evolving mod A, checking stats/reloading/evolving mod A again as many times as needed/desired.

in my experience they happen when there's either interaction of players with the mission or when you're drawn to far away from your objectives position, causing players to either follow a very long path towards the mission position or not even being able to follow it at all, especially when moving between different galaxies. but for further info, check #nms-questions or talk to people there.

It's more about interacting with other players or simply having them in your session

You can also get locked out of blueprints if someone gives you a craftable item before the game gives you the blueprint.

it is fairly easy. you will need bio chamber, glass corridor and glass cuboid room, cuboid room, etc.... make sure to have the prefabs. You will also need a few plants and the planters for them, kited rug and message module. if you want the precise details, someone might be able to help on the #nms-questions . happy trails!

Hey, all. New to Discord, but not new to NMS. I've been playing since launch, with some unholy number of in-game hours.

I mainly play in Permadeath mode, using PCVR, though I'm working up a Normal-mode save for more multiplayer opportunities.

I also have a habit of making up new scenarios/rule-sets for myself, for extra challenge or for sandbox/narrative purposes. U can get harmonic brains by completing a sentinel salvaged ship

When you salvage a sentinel interceptor, you collect a hyaline brain. If you have the other things you need to complete the repair - three of those purple crystals and an inverted mirror - you can activate the hyaline brain in your inventory to get coordinates for a monolith. Interacting with the monolith while the mission is active will give you a harmonic brain.

That mission tends to bug out (as do most story missions) when in multiplayer.
You're best off just upgrading your weapons and doing it solo.
You can get infinite waves if anyone joins

It's part of the mission, make sure you follow the steps and are playing solo/multiplayer disabled.

If you traveled a long distance since the mission started, you might need to reset mission to nearby structures

Not just any walker will do. The mission should direct you to a particular encounter involving a particular walker. In my experience, it's not as intense or involved as a full sequence of sentinel waves, though the walker itself is pretty tough.

How new? Are you just starting a game? My advice would be to go through the first stages - at least the first system or two - on your own, to figure out game mechanics and get yourself set up a little. Also, be sure to go into settings/network and set PVP to "no one" . . . just in case.

No need to be sad. It's just easier to join in multiplayer when you already know your way around, a little. Also, being in multiplayer can mess up progression of story-line missions, or so I understand.

The start of the game is kind of meant to be a solitary experience; it fits with the story, the lore of this universe, that travellers always start alone.
