So I think I found the issue. Appears to be an old settings file that did not get updated and is preventing the multiplayer. Not sure which setting is the issue.

But here is what I did, hopefully it works for others as well.

1. In Steam under Library, Right-Click the "No Man's Sky" game

2. Select "Manage" and then "Browse Local Files"

3. In the Folder Explorer, open the "Binaries" directory and then the "SETTINGS" directory

4. Delete the 3 *.MXML files

5. Start No Man Sky and enter Nexus

I did have to re-do all my settings that I had changed, but when I loaded into the Nexus I could see players again as well as join up with my friends (who also had to do this update)

not terribly helpful, but I've had the luck of finding a few barren dissonant planets - you just fly around looking for inverted mirrors and blow them up from the sky. About 1/10th of them tend to have locators

if you use a sentinel map to find a tower, you can disable the sentinels so that they don't attack when you destroy the mirror

Best start to money is oxy farm...and then begin your chlorine farm, use your oxy farm to double your output of chlorine and you'll be well on ya way to earning millions with little effort...once u get good enough and better established stasis device farm is where you'll start to earn Billions every day

And was able to restore the land being i wasn't physically inside the tent
