Pro tip: Underground isnt always in caves, many people waste time on this assumption. Do note that NPC buildings often have all types of (land) terrain around them, so use your signal booster to find NPC buildings and go check around them. Accomplishing the tasks inside the building will also help to encourage the programming to activate rare spawn points. If that sound like too much work, just fight sentinels. Thsi will also actiavte all spawn points.

As for if the animal is north/south daytime bound, or underwater, or it's a beetle, these might need other behaviours to activate (ie location and/or storms and/or day/night)

They are called memory fragments. You use it and it'll make your tool and ship go from C-class to B-class. Then use it again to make them A-Class, then finally S-class.
