When I see people wanting to join up with other folk, I like to let them know about the multiplayer communities that have set-up around NMS, as I come across so many that have no idea they exist or the #archived-nms-communities is an actual section.

I use my own as an example as it is the only one I can example with proper knowledge of as compared to the others, with of course, the slight benefit of mentioning my community in the mix.

But not desperation 🙂 just wanting to help inform, though I understand it isn't for everyone and that's just fine.

This was previously done by DMs, but that was halted as more seemed to not like having a sudden dm pop-up as well as it coming off as leaching.

I primarily use it to example what the communities may entail, more so to those unaware of what communities do in NMS, the benefit I gain is naturally getting our communities name mentioned, but also as it is again, the only one I can speak of with some certain detail, not being from the others, when exampling about communities. But I'd imagine anyone could post a similar topic with no issue at all.

If it ends up mentioning my own community in there is over the line for the admins, then I have no issue removing it 🙂 it's just a bit of a see if I can get a small benefit from primarily aiming to help promote the communities channel and ultimately inform about the wider multiplayer community 🙂

I have about 1k star silk I will sell it in stacks of 50 if wanted. You use it to make chairs later on and it’s uncommon material. It’s a good trade material starting out too if you sell it to right place. I also have ~20 salvaged frigate data for your freighters. I don’t need it.

Think I found a way to give your ships to other players. It's currently theoretical: go to trading post, freighter or space station together, receiving player stand next to the ship in question, previous owner will exchange the ship to be traded to any NPC pilot, receiving player buys or trades their ship for it from NPC who just obtained it. Be quick though, or the pilot may fly away. If that happens wait awhile and that pilot should be back in the same ship.

ok basically, put into a portal in the galaxy you are in, make it to a gateway system (system that goes to the core when selecting galactic core on the galactic map), jump with a junk ship and mt, and repeat

Its fairly easy actually. The galaxy map always shows your current galaxy in the top left. You can enter the next galaxy in line by travelling through the core of the galaxy you are in, but teleporting works across galaxies, portals do not.

So you can teleport between galaxies youve been to, assuming you have a base there or a space station there in your list
