No, it's it's own gamemode. Begin it within an existing save at the Space Anomaly's Expedition Terminus or begin it as a new save on the new save screen

Hey there. Looking for a suggested list of stuff to bring on the Swarm expedition.

They allow travel to any planet in the current galaxy
given you know the portal glyph sequence for said planet, but you can also type them in aimlessly. There are known sequences that always take you close to the center.

i think it may just be a camera angle issue

This stupid base building system has a limited range and any silver deposits are outside maxed bounds at this point. I WILL have to make a second base nearby just to funnel my minerals into my man portal spot. And it’s lame those short range teleporters can’t even teleport to other planet side bases. No wonder my cables were red despite being connected

Ain’t no electrical spot near the good deposit either so solar might have to do, why does removing a base just also erase and not refund you materials

Is there any way to clear other player bases from my game entirely? I made the mistake of visiting the Starbirth planet while online and now there's just tons of bases that I can't seem to delete

Exotic ships have a slightly higher base maneuverability, as well as higher shield strength and hyperdrive bonus % ranges (the latter isn't important against sentinels since those have the Crimson Core which grants +600 LY)

Living ships charge using different stuff, mainly rawer stuff like oxygen and chromatic metal

they have unique goopy technology that has some uniqueness to it, like a teleport receiver that works over 350u away instead of 150u

keep in mind that sentinel ships have the fastest in-atmosphere speeds of any starship type, and also turn faster when boosting but turn slower when slowed down/stopped so their handling is kinda fundamentally different and up to personal preference

I'm trying to set up hand tracking on NMS with my Quest 3 + Steam Link. From what I can tell, there's supposed to be full finger tracking, but all I'm seeing is either completely open hand or completely closed hand, and I can't seem to figure out the controls. What am I doing wrong?

@stuck berryfound a fix for my issue some bug occured with the plinths for the seeds preventing me from using them, resetting the quest progress to -1 fixed it and the next quest triggered instantly thx for the help

Yes, it does

You can also do this from the options menu

You can go back and forth freely without any consequences

all of your progress on both ends is saved and remains separate but accessible

we were looking for an icon like this - this one is probably from a diff mission in your log. in short, you probably picked up the mineral scan mission and then just left the area of the galaxy that you were in at the time. if you cant see the mineral mission icon in the galaxy map either, you could try teleporting back to some of the older stations on the list, and rechecking galaxy map after to see if you can spot the mission icon

sometimes specific cardinal directions hide themselves, so possibly just go off the other ones
