It's a bug, it doesn't represent anything. You can't see buildings in space
inhabited building, like you can see on this planetary chart below. But you won't find any buildings outside of the planets
As far as I can tell the anomaly has something to do with that icon showing up.

The Launch Auto-Charger has the exact same function as the property in the Vesper Sails as well as the Azimuth-Class Reactor
So if you have the resources to install a Launch Auto-Charger, there's no reason to care about that specific benefit but of course there are other benefits from the other options like pulse fuel efficiency, an extra thing to have stuff be adjacent to, etc
no its correct the auto launch charger works only when ground, but none will fly so many hours to finish the 100% and the recharge is 4% per minute

So... I know to get an S-Class Pirate Dreadnaught, I can just warp in and out of a system where there is a freighter battle until I find one, right? But what if I dont want the Pirate freighter, but the other one? Can I use the same tactic to get it in S Class?
Save before every warp. Freighter battles trigger with 3 hours played + 5 warps between battles. Do the battle, check the class, reload your restore point if it's not what you want. Make sure to not do it in your corvette

For the Autophage mission, just completion of the main story as well as having lifted the seal of a Harmonic Camp before #nms-commands message. For portals, they can be used as long as you have at least one Portal Glyph #nms-commands message though you get all 16 of them at the end of the main story
im recently coming back to the game, and i remember a story mission ||where u like crash landed looking for artemis or whoever and u like forgot stuff lost ur ship and all ur stuff was broken || and i remember being soft locked like i couldnt get the required materials to repair my ship and stuff was i just stupid or is this a known issue and how can i prevent it

You can always repair any non-sentinel, non-living ship with the resources found on all planets, so there's no need to worry

if you are using a sentinel or living ship, just summon a ship that isn't one of those. if you only have those, maybe just explore until a ship lands in front of you and buy that

Hey everyone, I've had a big problem with the game for the past few hours. My corvette can't land on planets, nor can I summon it to a planet. When I try to modify it, the game tells me the modules need to be connected. When I go to the anomaly, my corvette lands in the scenery... and I've seen that this is a problem that's been happening a lot for the past few days. Does anyone have a solution, please?
For example: you flying and tab out, your screen freezes(only the game one) but after you go back your ship will be in new location bc it kept moving
Then you probably have an extremely different configuration, like being on Linux/Mac
On Windows, the game fully pauses when out of focus

Just pulse in space. It's advised to place all but one of them in an exocraft and then switch to another one (or possibly the same for ships)
Note that they must be Void Eggs, not Cracking Void Eggs or any other suffixes/prefixes

if you pulse in space with at least one you can start quest line to get living ship
They are void eggs
The anomaly part always happens when switching from a non-corvette to a corvette, it's just been a thing. The modules not connected error could mean that you placed something in it while it was pulsing, which could have glitched it very far away

If you don't have access to the PC version of the game to use a save editor, then possibly not

Yes, but as I advised it may be a good idea to place all except one of them in storage that can't normally be checked for by missions (non-primary exocraft/ship)

It's likely that you already unlocked it by the time you have any reason to ask this question. But if not, just finish the mission relating to purple systems

It has aim assist when you fight against other ships but you not need to necessarily use it tho it's recommended, when going against huge ships you need to destroy their engines/shields and etc, there's also things called sentinels, they like police but will attack you the second you do something wrong

Very basic. You can win any space encounter by holding S and left click. And if it's a particularly hard one you can recharge your shield with a few button presses even mid-combat. I really like the game, but space combat is really not why you should be getting it. Better alternatives out there.
Orr just flee using pulse or special warp engine
Rebind target lock on a separate key from slow/reverse, it makes certain encounters much less of a headache.

All stellar metals can be refined into Chromatic Metal (which includes Copper, Cadmium, Emeril, Indium and Quartzite, as well as their activated variants refining into even more)
The "higher tier" stellar metals refine into more Chromatic Metal, with Indium and Quartzite being tied for the most
i meant, in 2 material refinement, if i can pair, in this case Emeril, with something to get more output from the input

You never lose any of it, you can always teleport back to any previous bases. There is a bug that wipes your space station teleport list upon doing that mission, but this is unintended

I think it always happens, but not sure as I haven't tested anything, just have had to help people who have suffered from it

Yes, Remembrance requires the Heart of the Sun from The Atlas Path. You aren't required to install it though

Yes, Outlaw Systems are not locked to any specific star color. You can see the economy and conflict data of star systems you haven't been to by having an Economy Scanner or Conflict scanner installed. You can purchase their blueprints from Iteration: Hyperion aboard the Space Anomaly, of which the Economy Scanner is far easier to install

Saves have a part of them named "StoredInteractionData" which contains lots of random data like this. It's size is limited, so it discards the oldest entries when it needs more space

i mean, any ship can deal with anything in game after upgrades, so it's mostly a matter of preference too. but sure, if you put upgrades on it, even some of the corvette parts themselves give buffs, it might feel better than the pillar sure

Try to find yourself a sentinel interceptor. That will be a great upgrade to the pillar
you can either install the corvette parts that give those techs, or install the tech blueprints yourself (after unlocked ofc)

something really odd is happening to my game, i completed my first void egg quest today, but when i am trying to complete my second, the quest wont show up and i have been pulse driving for some time now, anyone knows the issue? the second egg apperently moved to my starship and the first unused egg stayed in my inventory

Just check many purple systems, waterworlds are just another biome of planet that have extremely deep oceans. Separately, bout 20% of purple system planets have oceans that are 3.75x deeper than normal, making their depths have a similar vibe to waterworlds

That's a message meant for after the expedition is complete, which is why it's telling you to go to the anomaly. You can quit the expedition at any time from the options/pause menu.

All expeditions place players on the same planet as each other for that expedition, with the same route throughout the expedition

I don't recall any optional milestones in this one, so you could probably ignore that
Make sure you have claimed every milestone too
Including all 5 Phase Rewards and the Final Phase, though those are required to end it

At best, you could use mods to add oceans to all worlds, and lower the oceans to extremely low amounts which would reveal areas where those low areas are exposed from space
Planet topology/terrain shapes are deterministic, and therefore technically always exists. The game processes a very basic assumption of it to produce the space view where you can see where oceans are

Planets are procedurally generated, so it is entirely possible to calculate the properties of all the planets in the galaxy. It's how the planets are generated in the first place after all. But building a mod to do so isn't a trivial task. You could be the one to make it though!
The signal booster does that thing where it zooms out when used. Just turn that into an on-demand feature.
You could suggest it to HG? Just telling fellow players to do it isn't super effective.

Well, what we do know is that there are no oceans deeper than about 114 (some say 134) in normal copper to indium) systems. Quartzite systems can have planets that go as deep as 1500u. Nothing is deeper than that.
Regular ocean depths are 120u deep. "Deep ocean" planets (20% of all purple system planets) have oceans of 450u deep, and waterworlds are indeed 1,500u deep yeah
the game knows. records and wonders tracks the deepest ocean I think.

im about 7 hrs in and have a settlement thats massively in debt (900k) ,but anything i try to upgrade brings their happiness down, and its already at 8%, the only thing that brings it up is upgrading the overseer office, but i cant, cause idk how to get a quantum computer. advice?
Slowly upgrade whatever buildings you can. Early on: make overseer event choices that increase Productivity over anything else. Happiness can come later. You will eventually get profitable and erase all debt, and that point the settlement will create materials for your use. You can get the recipe for Quantum Computer at the Anomaly, at a station near the shark guy. You can also get the recipe from random Manufacturing facilities you can stumble across by choosing that reward.

You can also buy Quantum Computers at some trade terminals or random pilots.
You can get Nitrogen by crafting an Atmosphere Harvester, setting it on a Lush or Toxic planet, fueling it up and coming back later to pick up the harvest. You can build multiple. I build them right outside the door to the Overseer office on my Toxic planet Settlement.

I got mine looting manufactoring facilities
never had to craft them
if you want to make money, just farm sentinel ships. no need to repair, just claim and scrap them.
i can make 100m+ an hour easily.
Don't focus TOO much on mining for money; later game, money pours in from many sources even while you're offline. But by all means, build for the fun of building!
if your after units id recommend buyin multitools then scrapping them at anomaly. then when youve enough units buy spaceships and scrap them. both of these also give you mods you can sell for nanites

after you get portaled to a planet by that mission stage, it wont take more than a few seconds for you to get auto teleported out of there

hi everyone, I have a question. I don't really get frieghters yet, however, I have a a class dreadnought that I rarely visit, I've just got the opportunity to switch to a regular s class, the stats are nearly identical but I've put some storage slots into the dreadnought already and that's pretty much the only thing I use from it, love the extra storage from anywhere. so, do I switch? does it matter to something? do I need to rebuild the rooms I already did in the dreadnought?
I guess I can't just add one like with ships, I only can switch, I don't really see a reason unless there's something beneath the surface for future use of freighters?
I mean that's 10 extra slots in the dreadnought, class is cool and the 3 adjacent super slots looks useful for something I guess, but don't really want to lose the storage
it will give you a chance to copy your exising base. which means the base carries over. if you unpack all your tech modules you can carry those over too. the only thing you dont carry over are any spent bulkhead modules (Storage upgrades).
they are not too much of a hassle to get so if youve spent less than, say, 20, i wouldn't sweat it. if you have... well then you need to really consider the extra effort in grinding out storage upgrades.
there are some shared systems where you can literally raid a freighter for its rewards in <5m, but still it can be a bunch of tiresome runs where you arn't getting the s class upgrade the system actually offers.
oh, so I just pack every module I can, it transfers the base, then I can put back the modules, why not...
what do I do with storage though? I should move everything to my suit/ship?
the storage module contents? they are safe. its the freighter storage and freighter tech storage panels (only) that you will need to clear out.
no I mean the current dreadnought storage, I have 44 slots and I think 42 of them are full
so pack everything you can into storage modules, your exosuit or a starship.

galaxy doesn't matter. you can summon it anywhere you have the correct hyperdrive for. if you are in a yellow system you will be able to summon it regardless. unlike a starship i dont think a freighter uses, or requires, fuel to summon

FYI, you can upgrade your freight to have massive hyperdrive range, and the class affects the frigate missions, so it is worth upgrading.
I use my freighter for exploration warps and its planetary probe can immediately discover all planets in a system (unlike scanning from a ship, which is temporary until you land on it).
(by exploration warps, I mean gradually moving towards the galactic cores and discovering planets along the way)
only way i see for a higher class freighter to have an effect on fleet expeditions are supercharging fleet upgrade modules or due to higher fleet coord, but it's not really going to be a huge diff from an a- to a s-class
not in terms of the ability to run fleet expeditions with ease

pattern is usually release 3-4 new expeditions in a given year, then rerun those same 3-4 at the end of the same year. they have rerun older expeditions off year, but it's not on a rotation

complete in stellar multitudes quest, you'll get a tech called resonance matrix for free, freighter's atlantid drive, which lets it go to all star colors (purple, blue, green, red)
Normally those would be actively firing at you once you attacked the pillar, and yes that medium mech can be a bugger.

Yes, crystalized helium shows as a deposit. It's on every gas giant.
You have to look for //Gas Giant on the system info card on the galaxy map, where it says //Dissonant on this one
I thought i found it also in purple systems without a gas giant. But probably it was a titan.
How ever gas giants are easy to find. It's always a single planet with moons around. You can see this on the galaxy map.

For the most part, outlaw freighters spawn on the same timer as normal ones. 3 hours played + 5 warps in your ship between events. The only difference is you have to have been through 2 battles on your save and have a freighter already. You will encounter more in your save. Taking one is entirely up to you. They have no inherent benefit over any other freighter type other than looks.

Also, 20% of all Ouaw Systems and 10% of all High-Conflict Systems have a property that makes them spawn a Pirate Dreadnaught event every time that they're warped to via starship, if the player qualifies for their battles to spawn
And which loot is better? The tribute or its destruction?
Tribute for units, destruction for a freighter upgrade (destruction after surrender gives nothing)
Don't destroy the engines for a better loot pool upon destruction

Uhh.. too late on that lol, but how can you destroy the ship of ones they get alot of dmg they will try to escape, that's why i destroyed the engines to prevent them from escaping
is sentinel ship better than normal?
"Better" is relative. If you, the player, like it more, then it's better for you. Any ship can be made to do anything you want it to with the right upgrades
matter of preference really. they can be really easy to upkeep due to rad shards recharging any of its systems, they can hover inside planet atmos, they can use regular ship upgrades and techs too
crimson core has a very large hyperdrive range and efficiency buff
sentinel cannon gets buffed by photon cannon modules
Even with that, though, a maxed out explorer is going to have a longer warp range if that's important

that's down to innate bonus on hyperdrive range, which explorer tops every other ship type
that said, with crimson core and 3 s-class modules, no supercharging, it'll have more than enough range for daily driver operations imo

Hi everyone! I remember it used to be practically impossible to play this game with a friend, just that they were there, there were bugs in the storyline, and you couldn't combine bases. Is that still the case?And can he sit on my corvette and fly with me?
You cannot combine bases, and there are definite issues doing story missions in a group. You can ride on another persons corvette, but only the owner can fly it

You can't pass the rights to anything to anyone. Your base, your ship(s), etc.

ok so I'm currently going through the second to last quest of the artemis path (||the purge||, the one to ||reach the center of the galaxy||) and i wanted to ask some questions before doing the big thing:
- when should I ||change my ship/multitool/remove my tech? is there like a star system with whatever thing I have to enter to move galaxies or does jumping into it take me directly into a new one?||
- how can i do to ||stay in the 1st galaxy after tping back through the spanom? I think it's possible but I also remember sometimes tping into another system through the spanom and later getting tp'd back to the previous one||
according to the wiki there's some sequence you can't get if you ||refuse the atlas|| and I wanna see it so I want to do ||the reset||, but I still want to ||stay in the 1st galaxy||
There are no consequences to refusing. You can still travel to and experience every part of the game ||you just don't go anywhere and don't get any damage||.

- ||have a base in the first galaxy and dont warp to it until you make a base in the galaxy you go to so you can return to the next galaxy||
Is there any logic to the exocraft radar? It certainly doesn't find the closest site you scan for.

the wiki says if you ||refuse|| you don't get the sequence where you ||choose the next galaxy's type|| whenever you decide to finally jump. is that not actually true or what?
