This issue is caused by corvette rotation imparted onto the player failing to end itself when you dismount the corvette while it's rotating

Bionic has +94% rarity improvement, but then you also catch the generic fishes. And bionic lures are expensive. Shadow lure still has +35% rarity improvement.

Fish caught in traps dont count towards fish catalouge so i didint use them
Not really. Normally they can interact with a few things like chairs, storage containers and the landing bay, but a bug is preventing these from working for other players in MP

from in stellar multitudes you'll get resonance matrix, freighter's purple drive yes
and you got to jetpack over them?
I've experienced that too but it returned to normal after a save and reload
yeah, that's the same issue i've seen at least 1 other player reporting - i'm unable to repro it, both with a venator and a sentinel type freighter.

Noticing what seems like a higher than usual number of uninhabited systems in this lush galaxy. It might just be that this is common closer to the core. I'm about 1/3rd of the way out id guess vs 2/3rds in my first galaxy

You should be able to rotate the base computer itself when you hold it, can you not?
yeah but it rotates it vertical to itself so it doesn't straighten up
Ah, you can't normally change it's rotation axis, that's strange
it's placement is supposed to follow your local gravity, but it seems like that was changed at some point to be tied to the world you are standing on
while the base objects you place other than it are still tied to your local gravity
the gravity points a different way due to the planet that the moon is around
this more greatly affects the moons of giant planets

if you use those coordinates in Hilbert Dimension, you are sent to that position in Hilbert Dimension, which is not the correct planet. Use them at a portal in Euclid Galaxy to reach the correct planet.

Hi everyone, I have a problem. I finished the main story and created another galaxy, but when I returned to that world, all my equipment was damaged. So I tried to repair it, but I strayed too far from my corvette with my other ship, and now I can't find it. What should I do?
#nms-questions message Go to one of your planetary bases (or make a new base in this new galaxy to guarantee that you can always come back to it), then save and reload at that planetary base (enter + exit ship, then Options > Reload Restore Point), then try summoning it using the quick menu.

the ship is still in your list, it's not gone and can be easily resummoned at one of your planetary bases
yea, haven't really gotten to upgrading the slots, mainly how much juice i could get out with mainly corvette parts
What do you mean? The corvette module tech bonuses are neat, but they aren't something that determines how "good" the ship is or will be, and they can be swapped out for others at any time

No, you could teleport back to a base that you have made previously
as little as a base computer is needed
but it is advised to place and claim a Base Computer in this new galaxy so that you can always come back

You could set a restore point, then upgrade it and check, then reload restore point if it is undesirable

i came here from path of exile, grinding is in my veins
im seeking either s class or good A class interceptor
grinding them is quite profitable
doing it for 2 days and got like 700mln and 40k nanites
especially after getting some resources for the brains, you only really fly between the wreck and monolith
yeah but finding them is time consuming
it is hard to find harmonic camps
so i need to kill sentinels
and the planet has firestorms so visibility is zero most of time
remember that we can use the same camp multiple times to locate multiple sites, just be sure to mark the camp so you can return
i scuffle with space sentinels often so i had a small stash of those maps lol

yeah but the upgrade only gives 300
more storage and tech slots with some less coordination despite C class
It's also boosted by the hyperdrive bonus %
base hyperdrive range is 101LY (1LY from the actual freighter, 100 from the hyperdrive core tech - the rest, not counting the extra tech, is the hyperdrive innate bonus value)
Destroying a surrendered Pirate Dreadnought gives nothing, despite the text

are sentinels more likely in peaceful systems or something? i'm jumping between low conflict systems and it feels like most of the planets i find are high or aggressive sentinel activity. i know high sentinel planets are common but i don't remember them being more common than low sentinel activity planets

well, besides the usual advice to protect equipped gear from damage, i guess keep repair kits on hand for that indium/atlantid drive - do note that there's a space anomaly featured base that's in eissentam, you dont necessarily have to core warp to get to that one

Yeah, "system discovery" pings on the map as well as a bunch of other map stuff is synced between galaxies for some reason (most never notice due to the scale of galaxies)

If you portal to coordinates you have a base in but in the wrong galaxy, you'll see the base marker on the galmap

There is a featured base in Eissentam that can be teleported to at any time from the Space Anomaly Teleporter
Normally, you just enter it and it takes you to another part of the galaxy, randlomly around the galactic disc and a good bit closer to the center

Ok so I’m really confused and at a loss here. Quite literally since the day corvettes were introduced, I’ve had a problem where clouds disappear when viewed through windows while inside a corvette. I have reported it numerous times to HG. It’s been 6 months and numerous patches still have not addressed this issue even when clouds were explicitly tweaked. And yet no one online is mentioning this on Reddit or on here. I’ve tried everything. I’ve checked for mod issues, deleted mods entirely, checked my graphics driver, ensured the game is up to date, ensured graphics settings are at max, and verified my files and nothing has fixed this issue. Can anyone tell me if there is any chance of dealing with this issue? It seems insane to me that something this basic has been broken for this long so all I can think is it’s something I’m doing

I’ll wait another 6 months for whatever unplayable mess the new scrap mechanic is to get fixed and maybe then I’ll be allowed to see clouds
The Indium Drive enables travel to Blue Star Systems, not purple.
Also, even if you had the Atlantid Drive, you still cannot reach purple star systems via porta; until you fully complete In Stellar Multitudes, as they don't exist on the galaxy map until then

I'd get it if I were you, there's barely anything to lose about your previous freighter, unless you had stuff stored in it's core cargo in which you can transfer them via this menu in the image (switch to cargo)

So just warp to a bunch of different outlaw systems, 1 in 5 will just have battles every time they're warped to

Frigates level up as they complete Frigate Expeditions, which eventually increases their class, so their class isn't too important

I ended up getting 207 pirate transponders 38 suspicious packet of arms 45 suspicious packets of tech and 36 suspicious packets of goods. This was absolutely nuts.
The tech packets alone are worth it

Well, I fought two huge waves of pirates
You could purchase S-Class hyperdrive upgrade modules to add like 500 more (by also replacing the C-Class one)
It seems that you have very few upgrade modules at all, so buying S-Class ones would be a good investment, as well as understanding that you can install up to 3 of them per upgrade type (this limit doesn't include blueprint technology, which is tech that is installed using resources and a blueprint)

Interceptors may only be found and claimed in Dissonant systems. The system cannot be Uncharted, and the planet cannot be a Dead biome or Weird biome.

How do you find a claimed broken ship? I summoned my freighter straight above me to grab the crafting materials to repair it and forgot a beacon.
if you warp away it should just be in your freighter, its what happened to me

You can resummon it on a planet if it isn't in the system (not on the planet, not on the freighter, and isn't your current active ship).
So go to a different system?
If you are on a planet dismiss your freighter, hop in your ship, hop out, reload restore point, summon broken ship using quick menu

there's no command here for fishing, basically: cooking and nanites (for releasing the fish) are the only two uses (or selling, if you wish), different kinds of bait help you catch different fish, the biome and weather also has an effect

I just started playing and I'm on the Expand the Base mission chain. In my game, the Overseer I hired is still on the Space Station I hired him from and getting picked again for the Farmer. Is there a way to fix this?
go to your base and interact with his station he should teleport there

Hi, I'm just watching a video about Purple star systems and much of 'how to get there' tracks. I had an encounter with the object that I've screen-grabbed (from the Youtube guide) but here, the path diverges. I didn't have any 'how to find other star systems dialogue' in fact, I'm still tecnically working through the Autophage quests as I haven't reached the 9/9 ranking/completed all the helper quests for them yet.
So, have I messed up that game loop now or will I get to encounter the object from the screen grab again?

The First Visit to The Space Anomaly

During your first visit to the Anomaly, there are a few things you have to do, and those steps have to be done in order.
Do not do anything else until you do these in order.
Make sure you keep the The Space Anomaly mission selected while you do the following:
- Speak with Nada
- Speak with Polo
- Speak with Helios
- Speak with Selene (Exosuit upgrade vendor)
- Browse the Construction Research Station
- Speak with Nada once more
Note: Even though the mission will tell you to, you do not have to buy anything at either vendor screen.

📚 After this visit, you can summon the Space Anomaly when in space, using your ship quick menu.

Should I adjust my system time?

No! Messing with your system clock has the potential to break every single thing that relies on a real timer. Settlements, frigate missions, farms, mines, freighter battles and time gates such as the Starbirth Quest. Just don't do it.

How far could I get in this game without tech modules?
You wouldn't be able to progress the tutorial by installing the Analysis Visor most likely. Even if it somehow lets you continue after that, you wouldn't be able to install the Terrain Manipulator to mine Copper. Even if you circumvent this by buying Copper, you would have to install the Hyperdrive, though this technically could be circumvented by buying a new ship/finding and repairing a crashed one, which after that point always have a hyperdrive
Depends on how strict you are, but not very far. Pretty much all functionality comes in the shape of tech modules so you wouldn't be able to do much of anything

Im doing "haz-mat gauntlet" and it never gave me the blueprint for the hazmat gauntlet, where do I find one?
Hyperdrive and Launch Thruster upgrades help a ton throughout the early game, probably more than any blueprint. Also Pulse Engine upgrade modules make your ship start feel good to control instead of a chore, and most unupgraded weapons feel really bad
You can get the blueprint for it from Iteration: Selene aboard the Space Anomaly
It is an exosuit technology blueprint.
You would not be savings any time by ignoring them, you would be going through the game much more slowly by spending way more time travelling and mining

I don't do expeditions ever since I experienced the buggy mess of Corvette, they kinda solidified my opinion of them being there like a glorified tutorial with some social aspects (which can be hindering more than helpful) and rewards you can obtain in other ways anyway

if one has the physical Switch game cart, and one upgrades to the Switch 2 version of the game, do you need to put the original Switch cart in the Switch 2 to play normally, or can you just play it from the downloaded content? (if someone knows)
in short, options/difficulty/space combat and enemy strength options should make enemies a bit more difficult to kill
afaik you do need to have the cartridge slotted in to play the updated version but i'm not 100% sure

- during the day, 1 panel charges bat and the other's output goes to be used by the base
- during the night, batteries will provide the needed power

nah, for the most part, it'll work the same way everywhere. there's some areas on planets called "eternal twilight" areas, where it's always sunset or sunrise, meaning that panels produce 25kps each at all times, even when visor says it's supposed to be night time

If I'm editing a corvette and remove a Hab that has storage cabinets (idr the exact name) in it, what happens to the stuff in the storage cabinets?
They are "stored interactions" so they will "reset" when you eventually have done enough things since then. Basically, don't expect them to refresh unless you can teleport back in a few days
They remain in those Storage Container inventories
which aren't tied to the objects you placed
those walls you placed just grant access to those inventories

Also, the name of the space station matches the name of the star system
unless you changed it's name since you last visited it, in which in the menu it'll show as the previous name until revisiting
with pulse spitter i'd recommend managing your distance, starting to fire while aiming a bit lower than center mass; also recommend using paralysis mortar to stun enemies in place, making it a lot easier to land shots.
and any recommendation how to find a planet that has storm crystals from jsut looking at it? think ive never seen them listed as a resource. i wanna farm them for hyperdrive fuel casue i have so few oxygen to craft normal cells
@scarlet timber otoh, neutron cannon can be made to charge up fast, and yeah, that aoe blast is super satisfying, one of the more powerful weapons for sure
they'll not pop in the resource list, but simply look for planets with activated <stellar metal> on the list but no star bulb

What should I look for in a first freighter?
It's this author's opinion that for a first freighter, any freighter will do. If you like the one you're looking at, great, but getting a freighter ASAP is more important. Stats don't matter at this point, and for a few reasons:
- Early on, a character won't have the resources to make full use of a higher class freighter;
- All freighters have the same base building dimension limits;
-# Freighter base can be migrated over to a new freighter, when we decide to exchange. - Matter Beam freighter tech is a huge QoL feature: provides remote access to freighter core cargo from anywhere in the universe and, when freighter is in the current system, to any storage room built on the freighter base;
-# Freighter research is unlocked save wide, and we can package installed tech/modules at any time when in our freighters. - Fleet expeditions can give some nice loot, and run even when game is turned off;
- Units won't be a problem later on, when we want to exchange to another freighter.

They've been non-functional aboard corvettes since 6.00, despite having a model change when placed aboard them

@pure edge simply resummon the corvette/ resummon the freighter - then go in the hanger and look for the short range teleporter in the back of the hanger - you might have to first on foot quick menu/summon/other ship/corvette

yeah, this is an "issue" for many with more powerful machines, i think that the devs are just adopting conservative values. the denser a planet is, in terms of stuff going on, the more aggressive game becomes in doing this
If you mistook the corvette-class starship that you just built for a freighter, your previous ship is in your ship list if you didn't select "Exchange" upon claiming the corvette. Quick Menu > Summon Vehicles > Switch Docked Ship to see your ship list

You can acquire Storage Augmentations from many places, mainly from salvaging ships, the higher class the better #nms-commands message, or from mission board rewards sometimes, as well as some guild envoy rewards, and also frigate expeditions
does the ships tier impact the upgrades? casue i got liek 8% stats on S tier infraknife upgrades on a C corvette
Yes, the stat bonus multiplies the final stat (corvettes have the same stat bonus % ranges as haulers)
this will not show visually on the upgrades of course, only in the final stat reading and it's true effectiveness

i also had the Q on the solar and jsut looked at their respective mg potential stat, thats 400 vs 155
does thats not also scale the real dmg on the weapon?
The "Damage Potential" stat is not what you should be going off of for Starships.
That stat increases as more weapons are added, and doesn't scale with damage nearly at all
Instead, hover over each individual weapon to see it's DPS reading
well i try to farm some missions that get the ship upgrades, maybe i dupe jsut a few so i cna fit 1 or 2 of every upgrade for now. the base capacity is really criminal

Summon each one and look in the inventory menu for accurate current stats. There's no way to view the stat bonus %s in-game.
I just wanna have an interface for them like frigates where i can see their names, type, class
Then the Starship Archive menu is the best way to see those quickly

At the "Manage Fleet" terminal aboard your Freighter
Enter and exit your starship to create a restore point.
Go to Options and select "Reload Restore Point" to load back to that Restore Point
Restore Points are not created when exiting your starship aboard an NPC freighter, unless you are piloting a corvette-class starship.

how am I supposed to complete 2 Gek missions for one of the main questline quests, when one of the missions requires me to find missing person who is autophage but ability to see autophages only unlocks AFTER completing entire questline
I just go there and it shows me that missing person is in the terminal to get settlement but I can't see it
The missing person should never be autophage. Possibly abandon that mission, and do a different gek mission
there are no different gek missions
the missions listed change every 10 minutes
Abandon that one and do missions that give Gek reputation only

Patterns in Time mission will task the player with completing missions for the Gek race - not just any mission picked up from a Gek mission board.
Missions of the same type can be stacked and completed in tandem, even if they're set in different planets. Turning in can be done at any station, doesn't have to be a Gek system.
Then wait 10 minutes, or go to a different Gek system

That's the individual gek mission you chose, which just pings a settlement in general. It has no way of differentiating between autophage ones or not probably
I googled and autophages only appear after last story mission
