short answer is that all are viable. certain multitools can have more space to upgrade from the start. You can have multiple so don't worry too much

To some extent, yes. Any multitool is viable but if you want optimal performance in the late game some types are better at some things than others

It is absolutely not recommended to do the story in a group. Open your Options > Network. Do you get a Matchmaking error?

find one of the resonators and if it has an echo locator kill the resonator

If you get an echo locator from a dissonance resonator you can use it to find a harmonic camp, that's how you get both sentinel multitools and sentinel interceptor ships (which are very good early game, especially for scrapping or as your main ship)

Maybe wait on buying stuff like this and selling everything you own. The one you have is well good enough to carry you through most of the game, at least until you get progressed enough easily afford stuff like this

• The one you were looking at is a very viable upgrade from what you have

since planet does not have gold on resource list, it wont be/it might not be easy. for example, sometimes caves can have rocks that have gold or silver or even plat on them. buried mineral formation lootable drops glowing mineral, which when analyzed can drop stuff like magno-gold, which refines to gold directly. there's iirc a few other 2 input refiner recipes that are easy enough, i forget which materials though

well, since there's not really access to a ship till much later on, spawning near each other on the planet (latitude+longitude) could be a problem, no guarantees that you'd spawn like "next door", and that could mean that you spawned on the other side of the planet from each other. also, progress isn't shared, but if you could meet up, you could convoy up together hauling waste. i'd remind you to disable pvp in save network settings.

unique ships (except iron vulture and wraith) and companion eggs can be gifted between players, but ofc doing that wont unlock the ships.

correct, max rank (r10) with merchant guild; explorer guild can also have them, but at a lesser frequency and requires just rank 8). check this post for drop sources, <#nms-commands message>, guild envoys are basically the only non rng source

well, kinda depends on what kind of person you are, and how long you've been around/how long you've played the game/how much of it have you experienced so far, got to learn its "perks" when it comes to missions, text descriptions etc. living ship quest is fairly straight forward, but the portal stage can be confusing if you had no idea what portal glyphs are yet.

yeah, easiest way to unlock the glyph set is to just complete main storyline. type !faq-artemispath in #nms-commands for a list of missions. mission that teaches the glyph set is the purge. after you do the 16th registered warp on that mission, come back here, and ask if there's anything to do for what comes next

I have a problem, I have no mods installed or anything but I was creating a corvette and I made it however now I can't build on anything at all and it says "Construction limit reached" I dont have lots of bases so it doesn't make sense and i've tried temporarily installing mods that would usually remove build limits and yet I still can't build. Is there a fix?

Charging the glyphs is step 1, inputting an actual sequence is what opens the portal for travel

Yes however I tried removing a few base parts and it doesn't let me build still. I remember on one of my corvette's I used a few glitches and had to bypass the build limit on it but it was ages ago before i had the construction limit issue.

You have to remove all of the components from the sentinel ship first, and you have to ensure you have the right salvage site mission selected (if you have more than 1). You will need an inverted mirror and 3 radiant shards as well

I'm still super new to NMS. I haven't unlocked the Space Anomaly on my Main Save yet. So I started the Remnant Expedition from the main menu.

Can I still transfer the items from the Expedition to my Main Save afterwards? Or do I have to get the Anomaly first and start all over again?...

If you haven't reached the Anomaly yet, I'm guessing that means you started the expedition on a new save. If that is the case, you cannot transfer anything to your main save (you can continue the expedition save which will start the story just after unlocking the Anomaly, so not far from where you are now)

Will they ever make the discoveries tab more useful? Right now the systems list is a complete unusable mess. Toggling off ODS via a simple option would go a long way without having to mess with firewall settings. I have all kinds of garbage listed there that I had nothing to do with. I don't know what or where these systems are and why they are cluttering up that list. So far I've been to five systems, 2 Gek, 2 Korvax, 1 Vykeen. Now when I see e.g. a mission to kill a predator, I remember "Hey, I've seen predators on that one planet in that Vykeen system I've been to". When I quickly wanna check out that system in the discoveries tab, it's a complete dumpster fire.

4 organs to mature, ~22h real time each mature stage, so not counting with getting the void egg and unlocking the glyph set, you're looking at that much time, +an hour more or so to complete the quest, if you take the first ship the quest will mark for you. remember though, mature timers run even if you're not in game, or are in game and doing other things.

always feel free to submit feedback to the devs via the zendesk link, but they have approached the roadsign milestone issue 3 different patches, so they're working on it, and in a lot of other things, both 6.22 and 6.23 were massive. they're a small team still, so probably a good part of the testing goes through steam experimental

check your mission Log, is there a restart using nearby structures button lower right of the screen when that mission is selected? if not, i'd just goto any planet that has salvageable scrap on the list but not rusted metal, spawn colossus, hop in it and scan for processing plant using quick menu
