I don't see galaxy data in that screenshot. If you're using a portal that is not in the same galaxy of the ship you won't arrive in the proper location.

Do you see any message beacons near your location?
The lack of message beacons would indicate you may not be in the correct location
S rank ships are highly sought after, if an information is false or outdated, there should be a few message near the location that says so
Also, I would do a basic sanity check and check if the planet you are on actually has Dissonant Sentinels, if it doesn't, then you are definitely not in the right place

Hey, travellers ! I just started the game this week end and spent about 10 hrs on it. I really love it, it's what i was looking for for a long time.
I got my first question here : I went to space (obvsly). Iβm seeing a strong greenish tint on the environment when flying through space.
Itβs not game-breaking, but itβs distracting and hurts immersion.
I guess itβs caused by the star lighting. I was expecting darker space visuals with less color bleeding.
Is there a setting to change this? Does it vary between systems?

Yeah, I have been told it is not good for console/switch players to go above that 100 limit, even having to load in other peoples 800 part corvette will strain your hardware
When 5 corvettes with that many parts are sitting in the anomaly, I think your switch is going to be sweating

i assume the same thing happens when you goto anomaly? make a creative save on the side, progress awakenings for a bit to unlock anomaly, then check if connection is stable

How so? Because every time I try to load someone else's base, it gives me an error saying that it can't download the base
that's different. if not using anomaly teleporter, can only teleport to other player bases that have been uploaded in the same system you're in. i'm sure that you could find destinations in euclid, but for yourself, i'd always suggest build and claim a base comp to ensure you can teleport back
I've stockpiles materials just for that reason, I've been wanting to portal hop and check out other bases, or even find a nanite farm. But trying to use either a station or personal teleporter it gives me that issue

how hard is it to pack up a base and move it elsewhere? My current main base is on a scorched planet because that was my spawn planet but i lowkey wanna move to a lush planet. Its not very big, just a single room with a bunch of basic machines and a (almost full) storage container

we can upgrade corvette inventory size just like other ships at the starship outfitting terminal - any s-class corvette can be upgraded to 60 + 120
well not the inventory but technology slots
you build a basic corvette with just the bare essentials, then the Bot joins with the other necessary parts and completes the build for you, then bounces - no cost associated outside the initial pieces you'd need for any corvette
iirc there's even a "SCRAP ME FOR PARTS" build you can have it deliver if you just need pieces
basically, the parts you put in there will make the percentage rise - if you try to barter with percentage not high enough, it'll just fail, try again
any s-class corvette can be upgraded to 60 + 120

You can build corvettes for free from the get go, no need to actually farm the parts

nope - again, since you want to do things strictly vanilla then you'll be relying on the Barter system or RNG to get what you need
and that means theres no real knowing how many pieces you'll need in order to get the specific parts you want

Parts don't need unlocking, barring the expedition parts, all other corvette parts should be available for you to use in creative mode

It just means that you haven't 'looked' at your new item in your Inventory. If you hover your cursor over the item it should disappear
Is there a better way at getting back to a system other than just following the custom waypoint line? Like I had no idea where this system even is and I know that sounds crazy, but it seems like the perfect place to setup a base.

Given that I have travelled over 1.2 million Light years by jumping in my freighter in 2.5k bouts and scanned every system i have landed, and not found a single planet with the Prefixes of a 'glitch' planet or moon. Am I to assume at this stage they are simply not in the game anymore?

They're not called Glitch in the game, but any of those 12 names are glitch sub-type exotic planets
Those are Exotic biomes, yes. But there is another set of biomes that are classed as glitch, supposed to be super rare

You get them all via the story, and the story is required for Autophage content and to access purple systems

In harmonic camps, the broken autophages generally goes straight into feeding, but the ones in the wild (especially the ones you find along interceptors), you have to take something out of them first before you can interact with them to feed them

U have to workaround it by making space and build it over

no - but you can build spaces not using habs and make them the size you desire

uhh how exactly?
kinda hard to describe with text, but you'd build out your corvette with essentially a hole where you want the "large room" to go
then you'd use assets like flat panels, or walls if you can, from the "Decorative" mode in order to "fake" a room of your desired size within the space you left for yourself

choosing items from this menu will only take items from the cache, and not my exosuit inventory right? (i have all the parts that i need stored in my exosuite to avoid accidentally trading those)
so long as you stay hovered in that exact submenu, yes - should only pull from the cache
if you're really really worried, you can throw the parts in your exosuit into a storage container and they wont even be accessible from the Barter menu

all Settlements will be a bit stinky - just base your decision off of whether you like the planet and the faction

Is there a trick to finding S class Sentinel multitools? I always find C class and Iβm not convinced Iβm finding unique camps.
Class is determined by the cabinet, but you can always upgrade any tool to S class
Iβm playing a much harder version. Upgrades are few and far between. When looking for Harmonic Camp, does it give unique camp or closest?
Nanites are still not that hard to come by, and it just gives you a camp, could be close, could be not so close
If you don't have to unlock the camp to grab the tool, then you've lifted the seal of it before
according to the tutorial the high energy shield goes inbetween these two parts, but when i place it the game says i have to connect all parts... any idea how i can get it there without the error message?

can you get multiple npcs to work at different bases? for example, you have npcs that work on another base/freighter, but you want to get npcs on your current base (and with npcs on bases i mean that npcs work behind workstations). can you do that

You can build the terminals anywhere you want, and you can interact with the terminals to summon them to that other base
If you have the NPC at one base, it will not appear at others until you interact with the station to summon the NPC to the other base, which will then make it disappear from the initial one
aka they are stuck at 1 spot

Answered my own question, itβs an integer overflow glitch
...that Settlement might be beyond saving
as you've noted, its glitched out
so doubt there's an ingame way to save it
it should fix itself after some time

Where can i buy them?
A strategy is to find 2 systems with pirate dreadnaught battles that always happen when you warp in. Once found warp back and forth between them. Do this for a while and if you don't get an S log out then back in and try again.
The upgrade station aboard any space station, normally next to the exosuit upgrade vendor
You can purchase 2 slots in every system. 1 in the space station near the exosuit upgrade vendor, 1 in the Anomaly in the same location. Swap between tech and cargo with Q/E, D-Pad L/R, or just select one with your cursor

Yes, it is. This either means that you already collected the payment, or that you were using a corvette-class starship which has a bug that causes the "Space Rescue" mission to disappear upon exiting the seat of your ship

I shot a sentinel on accident with my mining laser and triggered sentinel forces, but this time no matter how far I run the sentinels still steadily come after me, never triggering the "sentinels searching" state... is this a bug or is this supposed to happen on some planets, where the sentinels are eternally aware of your location no matter how far away you are from them?

Find a sentinel beacon and go to the terminal and turn off sentinels. there should be one of the smaller walkers patrolling it that will drop a hardframe engine when you turn them off.

Multiple ways. The first one which you won't want to do is to kill all sentinel waves. The second one is to get ahold of the sentinel boundary map.

How does one travel to a different yet specific galaxy?
You can find a sentinel boundary map sometimes from a mercenary guild envoy if you have a high rank with them, or sometimes the center part of salvaged scrap will drop them. I would recommend finding a planet with salvageable scrap and finding those a few times til you get a map.

If you can turn a regular walker brain into the special one, you can get a regular one from either a mission (I remember seeing one as a mission reward in the corvette mission list, and think I saw one as a reward on a space-station mission too), or from repairing a broken autophage. Broken autophage can be most commonly found on dissonant planets, and sometimes will have you remove a walker brain to 'repair' it, giving you a walker brain or multiple. @visual ocean

Black holes can be used to reach the center of the galaxy somewhat quickly. Reaching the center of a galaxy sends you to the next galaxy

And yet I find it funny that thereβs 256 galaxies now from back when I first played there was either 1 or 2 the chance of running into someone is very very low because of it. I also assume since this is a game all galaxies share the same shape and size. No 2 galaxies colliding with another etc.

I hear corvettes with infra-knife and phase beams are very good, but I reckon those work very well on just regular fighters too, I use infra-knife on my fighter and it melts ships no problem
As for getting to another galaxy, I think you need to progress the artemis quest a little and unlock the first glyph then find a portal, afaik if you enter the first glyph 12x you teleport within 5000ly of the center.
Or you can use one of the community portals in the anomaly to teleport straight to a base in another galaxy

In building a corvette how do you move the parts in the starship screen to get adjacency bonuses?
In the exact same way you move techs around in other ships but you need to have at least one free space since you can't put a tech on another one to swap them

I have a set of farms automating resources for 120 stasis devices per day which sell for ~1.87 billion, and I have a multitool specialized for making bank off of creature scans with the help of the nutrient ingestor.

You build the crops in the same way as you do furnitures, the blueprints are unlocked either in the anomaly or following the farmer specialist's quest line
werid glitch. I saw the symbol for anomolous gas things (rare deep space encounter) in my navigation compass it said something about the First Spawning

Each ship type has it's own range of initial slots, as well as it's limit for slots added via upgrading total

Yes, lots of misinformation. The 48 limit may be from before the Waypoint update that reworked how inventories worked and removed the General inventory

Harmonic Camps can be used to locate endless sentinel interceptor crash sites

The mining laser is not a weapon. Progress the main story until you unlock the blueprint for the Boltcaster as well as the Space Anomaly
Though again, hunting Dissonance Resonators may be far more ideal

The boltcaster comes pretty early, and anomaly has blueprints for other weapons too.
i have a basic boltcaster, but the laser seems to be better atm xD
It's not intended for combat
It does near-zero damage to Sentinels and other combatants
A Boltcaster without upgrades will do many magnitudes more damage
You can also purchase upgrades for it and other weapons from space station tech merchants
you can install up to 3 upgrade modules at a time per technology type, this limit doesn't include technology blueprints
At least early on it doesn't though by time you get a lot of upgrades to your multitool someday you will shoot something with the mining laser and realize it can do some decent damage though still less than dedicated weapons.

Damage potential is a trap stat, it is only applicable when comparing the tools with the exact same techs, weapons, adjacency AND SC layout
damage potential changes according to the highest damage weapon slotted in the tech slots, but it's not exactly an exact dmg number you will be doing

There isn't, not even as an override, looks are tied to the weapon itself, so if you like the stats and slots of a weapon and don't like it's look, you are OOL unless you find a weapon with similar slots and a look you like

Yep, tool upgrades generally only upgrade a certain weapon and don't cross over to others, even if it is not immediately obvious.. (looking at you, sentinel weapon upgrades)

All freighters of different shapes and sizes have the same stat ranges and same max cargo and tech spaces, the differences are in their models and the starting tech/cargo slot numbers.
For freighter base itself, they all have identical limitations

Exotic ships are a 1 in 301 chance to spawn in any system, with each system having one design for them, so that is rare

I'm not sure what you are referring to with Gek freighters, as all races' freighters have the same things, but yes you can locate an endless amount of Sentinel Interceptor crash sites by using a Harmonic Camp
My game says that my system and some other around have been discovered by another player with a strange steam name. It hought the game was procedurally generated.
Is that real or is it just the game who created a fake steam player ?

Discovery does not relate to "creation"
But the name only sticks if you upload to server, otherwise it would be purely local and can get overwritten by another player's uploads
the entire universe is deterministic, and has already been decided
loading a star system just makes math happen that determines the stuff in it, this math happens the same way every time so system A will always be system A, all generation is redone from scratch every time the moment you load into it again
the fact that the player's name is there just means that they were the first to find and upload their discovery of that star/planet/etc

Yes, sentinel ships have many small variations and alternate versions of parts and strange exclusivity of parts that could never be intended to be understood by the average player
they'd need like 8 different slots and like a hundred parts, or a few slots and a few thousand parts
And also sentinels have versions that has no attachment, which isn't really possible if sentinel has customisation option

"very quick" probably not, but there's lots of ways to farm units. many still craft stasis device/fusion ignitor for example: scale up enough, and you could be crafting <lots of units a day>

you'll want to hop around outlaw stations, there's a black market upgrade module shop; you could also try to get some from sus packets arms (also available in outlaw stations, contraband agent)

How to farm X-Class Upgrade Modules 

- Purchase at least 6 up to 10 X-Class Upgrade Modules for what you wish to get a good 'roll' on.
- Make a restore point.
- Install them all, one at a time, keeping note on the exact 'order' as well as 'good' or 'bad' rolls.
- Reload your restore point.
- Repeat the same amount of 'installs' as follows:
- For any of the bad rolls, you instead install any different Upgrade Module (storing an existing to re-install works as well).
- For any of the good rolls, you install an X-Class Upgrade Module.
- Once you have (re-)installed the same amount of Upgrade Modules you tested, you create another restore point again.
Note: You can now repeat the above, using any remaining X-Class Upgrade Modules.

officially, only when the devs bring them back - they normally rerun all expeditions released in a given year, at the end of that same year again; but they have rerun some older expeditions more than once e.g. exp3 in 2023. unofficially, only if pc (check pinned post in #nms-modding ) cc @zinc cloak π

in short, ship's are auto generated by the game, can't manually set it
you can get some of the older expedition rewards without running them: e.g. companion eggs and ships (except the wraith) can be gifted between players
but there are rewards that cant be gifted by players, e.g. titles, base building part blueprints, etc
hmm, fwiw, in one of my saves, i have multiple corvettes, and they have different icons i think, but i never did anything in regards to them manually

How to know if planet can spawn storm crystals when there is extreme weather?
Because I was on planet with extreme weather but no storm crystals spawned
in short, if planet doesn't have star bulb but does have activated <stellar metal> on the resource list, then most likely that it's going to have storm crystals
