very very quick + simple apollo cross stitch, based on their decal though honestly 'cross stitch' is a pretty generous description, considering this only has a total of like 20 full cross stitches, the rest is all fractionals and backstitching.

i think the only two character decals i have left are artemis and null, which are both going to be... painful... so it was nice to do an extremely simple one first. this was stitched on black cloth so i wouldn't have to fill in all that area (something i regret doing on my nada piece) but now i'm wondering what i should do for artemis and null... same fabric as nada and polo, different fun colors, or black?

I don't use Tarot and yet I made those cards lol It was more of a NMS lore project for me, but you can still use tarot cards to play regular games, it's just a deck of cards after all and french tarot is fun (although I absolutely suck at that game lol)

I did use them once though, first time doing it had to be with the deck I made right ? And from what I've been told hello games used them too to predict how the Echoes update would go 🥰 Don't know what they got tho

Look at bird
Draw it
Repeat 100 times

The last bird will be better than the first but this is brute forcing and relies on stamina.

To improve faster, focus on specific areas where the birds look 'wrong', e.g. anatomy. Simplify, exaggerate, get it inside your brain.
Simplify shapes, practise arm control, draw other things too and notice similarities e.g. dinosaurs, humans.
Repeat infinitely.

Draw larger, draw smaller, look at how others draw.
Just draw a lot and you will improve with mileage, but it can be sped up by finding or being told areas to improve.

Honestly that’s a skill in itself. 💖
I can promise you that most artists have and idea of what we want but when we make it, it’s a little different or very different.
But yeah, practice does make perfect, so if you’re really intent on drawing birds and not cool flying pigs, it helps to study the subject.

I made these couple months ago and I wanted to make it into a kind of series. I named it The Galactic Speed Limit. Let me know what you think!

First one, Roamer I want to make it into a bit like comic style but still keeping the NMS vibes on it

Next, Nomad. If you played or maybe even heard about PS1 game called Vigilante you probably familiar with the name, Nomad to me really reminds me of that vehicle

I checked with Mythos for the proper place for this.

My NMS knowledge stone light project. Switch under a Vortex Cube toggles it off and on. Learned word is randomish, I have a list of words it picks from. Built it on a wood box that I can slip a battery pack in or run the usb cable out the side to a wall charger. Also hooked in to Home Assistant (home automation) so i can control the light colour of the stone and water/lava light, and send custom messages to the lcd.

Skull fits the pirate theme better, but the other version fits NMS more, since the art style doesn't run towards skulls and bones. So Skull for personal deco flair, but without to fit game lore.

Finally, finally got myself a pack of alcohol markers, so here’s my swatch sheet and my tests for lineart materials! I got this on sale for $35 on Amazon, and for 120 colors for cheap, they’re decent and great for beginners!

Why does some have an X on it when all of those colorings/drawings are perfect?

Those dragons each have a different pen used for the lineart, I was testing which pens work with the alcohol markers and which don’t. The Sharpie I fully expected to not work because Sharpies are also alcohol markers, but they’re not the most suitable for art lol, so the ink bled and merged. The Pen&Gear also smudged and bled, which surprised me but was to be expected of a cheap pen lol. The graphite and charcoal ones I figured wouldn’t work well but I tried it out anyway because I was curious lol
The rest work just fine, minimal to no smearing for the lineart ink, and they still look clear and visible!

Sorry that was so long winded lol

It’s not a necessary thing, but I do it because I have a bunch of pens I use Lineart for, and I wanted to be sure what would work with my style and what won’t. Luckily just about every pen I do use for art passed the test lol

I have ADHD so I get a super power called hyper focus 🤭 I Can do this for hours, it’s like mindfulness 🧘🏻‍♀️ You can see all of my edits here if you just search my name 🤭❤️ I started with this screenshot. Then I just evolved. And I’m so addicted to it now. I post here on different DC channels, my Twitter, Facebook groups and Reddit. Many people got really excited see me post again. Motor dysgraphia mostly means that my understanding of my body’s strength and how it moves is not quite as good as most people know how their bodies move. At least, that’s my own understanding of it. I think I’m a mild case of it, but I do take extra precautions of where I’m moving and such when it’s getting a little dangerous (I.e. carrying things, particularly around people)
I only learned about this recently when my dad told me, but I think I was diagnosed with it, plus the other two things, when I was little.
And I don’t mind talking about this because this sort of thing not only helps others learn about me, but I learn more about how to be me when I hear others experiences

No…? Idk how to explain it.
I guess the best way to put it is like “out of sight, out of mind.” If I can’t see what I’m doing or where my limbs are, then my ability to calculate what to do next is affected. Like if I’m carrying something big down the stairs, I’m much more likely to fall if I’m going down on autopilot than by consciously feeling every step and being careful because I can’t see where I’m stepping. At least, that’s what I have noticed about myself.
There’s a lot more information on it online, so I think there’s more that I just haven’t seen yet

That is interesting. It was not what google showed me, it said it was messy hand writing 😂 So this diagnosis with adhd… cause you have a uncontrolled body movement when you have ADHD, so how are this two together 😅

I don’t think it’s bad, I’ve been more aware of how my body works lately. I’d liken it, plus my emotional temperament, to that of a young child, but with the awareness of an adult. I’m not sure how else to explain it.
Also my handwriting is only messy if I’m having to rush it, but usually it’s decent. Either way it’s readable. It may affect my drawing more, but I’m not sure about this one because I’ve also been looking at other artists and see the same sort of “what’s in my head is not coming out right on paper” (at least half the time; the other half it goes right lol) So I don’t think it really affects my writing and/or drawing much, especially since I had one of the best handwriting styles in my high school class, plus was one of the better artists in high school in general (at least as my art teacher says). Then again, my school was for those with learning differences, so a lot of students have dyslexia, but even some without it either had good handwriting or had bad handwriting.
I think I remember my dad telling me about motor dysgraphia and still being a good artist despite that, so maybe it does affect my hands more than I think, but based on my own inability to trust where my limbs are going when I can’t see them, I also think it’s one of those conditions that may have more layers than scientists (and hereby people) think.

Another in-flight smartphone fingerpaint. The flight was super short (like 35 mins) so I was scrambling to finish in time.

I initially had trees in it but i didnt like them and it was costing me a bunch of time, so I scrapped em lol
