I can understand how you might feel 500 hours of content on a game that is subscription based is a deal. You've played that content. You know what it's like. Hell, you paid to play that content when it came out.

Now it's just being used as a marketing tool to pad playtime and encourage new players, but new players aren't going to look at how many hours of old content they can play while most of the active player base are off doing new content.

The pitch of selling old content to pad hours makes the game look like more of a chore than fun...and while I could be completely wrong...the content could be amazing, the first impression will become even more pressing as new players decide to play the game and then quit because they can't play everything with their new friends who are on content behind paywalls.

Meanwhile, the existing player base will blame the players without taking a second to consider that maybe those 500 hours of old content aren't as good as they remember them, to keep gamers attention

I hope I'm wrong and the game isn't hemmorrhaging new players.

You can choose between noisy or stealthy combat but that can affect your delivery grading at the end of one.
Little bit of puzzle solving, nothing too crazy.
Multiple ways of traversal (not just walking).
Not sure what to compare it too but it just reminded of some Japanese PS2 games where the game mechanics are just as much of a focal point as the story and graphics.
Story is a bit wild but it's grounded at the same time.
Essentially you're delivering packages and reconnecting people in a post apocalyptic world with some pretty classic Kojima government conspiracy thrown in for good measure.

There are building limits in NMS, but they're largely just limits for structural continuity. If you're on PC, there are even mods to completely remove those limits making building a practice in coloring outside of the lines...creating the wildest shit imaginable

If you want unlimited building out of the box, I'd say go for Enshrouded or Valheim. They're as close to unlimited in terms of design limitations as I've ever seen.

Honestly, I'm surprised HG never added a toggle to remove limitations for building, rather than letting modders run with it.

I suppose it's easier to say, you can break your game but we're not responsible this way

The only examples I can provide is Ark, Rust and No Mans Sky's building system.

In NMS Its more of a choice but theres a progression system to the other two.

The weather is actually a big part of the project I can't believe I didn't consider protection in that regard. Base protection and defences is still murky as I'm unsure on how npc enemies should attack bases or even if I'm allowing pvp between player bases yet.

I would like to suggest an additional layer to base building materials for the purpose of increasing material integrity. That additional layer: Design. Reward players for using practical design methodologies to improve base integrity and stretch the tensile strength of building materials beyond the basic damage resistances

This may reward smart design between upgrades so people don't have to worry as much about going to that far off land to get materials they don't have if they spend a while properly securing joists, etc

Theres small missions you can accept for rewards of sorts that send you to new area's away from the survival map that have different objectives. Extraction, PVP, Horde Clearing. And the goal is to make that match making go across all servers on that map

via a quest that takes you to a new regoin not necesarrily a separate instance if thats what you are concerned about

Theres currently two locations planned as main area's and you can freely travel to each location either by walking across border or taking an air lift. Its still in concepts.

Primarily, some of your rooms either have little or no armor, which is no-bueno cause they're easier targets to focus fire. Primarily your PP and RG have a bit of a lack of armor. :3

It's a solid setup otherwise, I try to keep at least 3 armor on 2x3s, and 4 armor on 2x2s.

So for years, I sat on my mistake. I hoped they would one day release another one, but they never did

I wanted a full crew compliment of borg and androids but the game never gave me that crew member I needed to complete it.

So I quit playing

I can't remember if it was the science officer or the tactical one.
