@haughty marsh I left my bugged starport with no resources allocated over night, and woke up this morning to it finished, so don't feed it and let it sit. Reload/Reboot might have been the trick.

there is a way to manually edit a couple files to unlock twitch drops but since NMS connects to twitch servers to determine what drops you actually got, any modifications you make to those files that don't match up get deleted, so you have to make the changes, launch NMS offline (by putting steam into offline mode) and redeem the rewards you want to get before taking it back online, at which point any changes that don't match up to Twitch servers get reversed, but you still keep the drops you redeemed on that save.
Expedition rewards, at least the last time i did it, work either way and stay permanently regardless.

as I remember, other player's base remains in local save data when you encounter them. They stay there until you find more of these accumulated that last of record slowly deleted one by one.

Ok so I followed the process for adding the mod folder to my game, simple enough, i downloaded the file for the fixed wing mod into said folder but now my game is stuck on a black screen. Is this a common issue when adding mods to this game or is it specifically a mod file issue?

Because I don't have any mods on right now, that's just what it gave me in normal time
I am not too sure on the cause, but obviously there is no mod there now. Maybe it just queued a next decision to always be the same. Maybe there is no more to do and results in stuff that is not ready yet. Not sure, but I know I have been really busy myself without speeding up things and pretty much maxed all, other than population, and not getting the issue you have.
I have ran out of ideas though, other than changing that timestamp to 0 as a last attempt.
Might want to report the issue regardless of having used mods, just make sure you mention this. Include save files and describe the issue and attempts to fix it.

Fixed an issue that could cause an untranslated variable to appear in some settlement decision text.
Which is on current experimental, so it should hopefully be fixed for you soon. No idea why I did not see this one as I read over the patch notes several times (likely expected it worded differently)

i saw there is a module called Pressurisation Capsule on the expedtion ship with id ^SHIP_LIFESUP , i guess its something new thats not available in normal ship at all ?

They have partway reverse engineered the seed on the No Man's Sky Creative & Sharing Discord, but it's not a simple "change digits 2 and 3 to change color". They have a brute force method of finding what you're looking for

I've got NMS for both Microsoft Store and Steam (thanks 50% discount) and have plugged 180 hours into it already. Been moding the game both on MS and Steam, editing JSON and using NomNom and Goatfungus. But I still need to glitch certain things in game. For instance, putting living ship parts on a exotic squid class. Is there a tool to make this simpler, or am I just going to need to glitch it with a friend? Neither save editor allows for it through their wizards
Also... I've gotten the Expedition 1 and 2 to work on all saves (finished 3 by myself), but I'm looking for a code / script to get the X.O Suit (Xbox helmet). All the mods that allowed for it before are broken with the update . I'd love a friendly point in the right direction.

Hey you genius mod creating people. I've got a question. TL;DR I converted my expedition save to a normal one by fast forwarding time on my PC while offline. The save lists as normal now and the last "quest" in the log about the save being converted is gone. I started the Artemis path successfully, however semi-stuck because I need the last milestones rank but I can't see the milestones tab because the expeditions tab is still overriding it.
Is there any way this could be worked around with some save editing?

You can find the files for your game by right clicking it on Steam or similar on GoG
If you're looking for saves it's %appdata%/HelloGames/NMS/DefaultUser (atleast for me)
Not sure what would normally all change during conversion from expeditions to normal, but have you checked the actual game mode value?

On steam each slot uses 4 files. 1 for auto with a metadatafile, 1 for manual with a metadatafile
the metadata files are a Steam thing. Not sure if GoG has something similar
If it uses pairs per slot, then save.hg is slot 1 auto, and save2.hg is slot 1 manual. Then save3.hg is slot 2 auto, and save4.hg is slot 2 manual, and so on
Slots are an internal thing only, as this is not the same as the order saves appear in on load.
Saves in the load screen are ordered by date/time. For each slot the latest

Make sure you have Java 8 - 64 bit
ScanEventTable likely references scan events required for some of the missions, like getting to the various locations to get to the Rendezvous point. There are likely quite a few scan events, considering the milestones we had

I've been at this for a while, but my game file got "corrupted" after the minor patch i think today? i played it after the patch but i logged off for like an hour and it says that "the version is incompatible" even though it isnt the case, because i actually played after the patch, and it was working fine. From was i was told the file probably got corrupted and it scrambled something that had to do with it messing with the version number or something, idk, im not super smart with this stuff.
The save is kinda new but not really, but i set up farms and a bunch of stuff and played alot with friends im not motivated to start a new one, and i just wanna play the game. Im just wondering if i could find backup saves somewhere or where the manual save is or literally just anything. i dont care if the save i find loses me 20 hours of progress i just want something :/
i also know that there is a "strbackup" folder but i dont know what do to with it, if it even is backup saves, and stuff like that. I can't find anything online. Im going to sleep because im tired of trying to figure this out, so i might be pretty late to respond, but either DM me or ping me here if you are gonna try and help, i just want something. If you were trying to load this save in multiplayer, it likely only requires to be updated to the new version. Try load it in single player first, then save, before using it in multiplayer again.

@undone grotto the 'strbackup' folder contains a backup of all your saves when Frontiers released. These are all in the old format, which was changed with Frontiers. So only useful if you need to revert to before the update.
