I did some heavy changes using Photoshop filters and layer styles on a good screenshot for the May Reddit contest. I miss the 'scanlines' overlay and pop-out of curves on 3D models like this player character, difficult to do it in PS.

I will try the depth filter, thanks! I don't recall how I did a curves outline map back in the days in Maya training but the 3D-model data is here in the game so a new filter perhaps combined with depth filter could work the same way for photo mode/screenshots.
