The tl;dr was, you warp your freighter to another system, and a new glitched copy of your freighter spawns in. Every time you warp, there's a chance for this to happen. Eventually so many glitch freighters spawn in that parts of your freighter base may not render, and if you keep going then the game will just crash

In an uncharted system I built a "Space Station" upper atmosphere base modeled on the ones of that time (now superseded by the current ones). But each of the NPC vendors' shops has a back door to where they live. I added a back corridor behind that leading to the pass-locked area so players could look "back-stage" 😉

Typically a different one (though eventually it may run out and repeat). Btw, if use a chart with a range of POI types and find a particular type you don't want, don't visit it, and that chart type won't be found next time you use that type of chart. Keep going until it starts showing you the type you want (using this you can lock down that chart type to even find just a single type by ignoring all the others).

Every expedition, there will be someone who wants to be a nuisance. Nothing we players can do about it.

You can try reporting it to the devs as a multiplayer issue when you see someone griefing.
