Yah, Atlas Rises was the culmination of it all, imo.

Though some of the newer features I do appreciate lots, like the revamped Sentinels, mobs like biohorrors, the derelicts etc

Stuff like that, things that made exploration more interesting basically.

Corvettes are cool don‘t get me wrong, but they really don‘t enhance exploration meaningfully. Whether you explore with a starship or a corvette, not much of a difference.

Though I do admit Corvettes can feel a bit more immersive and add plenty of roleplaying opportunity, so there‘s that.
