Yeah, the hunt for rare /underground / always active fauna is well known.

The best way is honestly to keep searching for PoIs that cut into the landscape to create open spaces.

Also if the time changes between night and day while you're in a cave, it can cause new fauna to spawn.

I'm not entirely sure what you're asking here, but in addition to trading, you can find crashed starships or create custom starships (fighters, solar sail ships, haulers and explorers only) by using parts extracted from other starships of the same type, or you can create corvettes from salvaged scrap. Does that help?

by using decorations like panels and light floors you can just make your own spaces

you can use a ladder to rotate a hab and then put another hab in that hab

then you can put a long hab over the cockpit

Question about corvettes, because I'm probably going to build one soon. I've seen some people whose corvettes don't land on the ground and they teleport to and from their ships. How do they do that? Is it because of the type of landing gear or the size of the ship?

Your ship should come with a teleporter

Ship to ground, ground to ship

Any corvette can stop midair without landing when you stop midair it places a teleporter on the ground

The teleporter is real handy for corvettes who don’t like to land due to their janky architecture

It's automatic, shows up when you do a complete stop mid air

Press one button and boom
