Just vanilla on PC. The 6 + 6 turrets are hidden under the hull.
As far as I know, the turrets can handle up to 6 of each type (I can see it with Phase Beam on the "Vega" just above, I see 12 rays + insane power), and up to 10 thrusters in the vanilla version.

I just built the Heart of Hirk tonight, after completing the expedition. Made from parts I found or traded (no creative mode).

The heart shape was completely unintentional, and I even painted her red before I realized she looked like a heart. But when the time came to name her, I decided to lean into the theme.

From my own builds this is the latest.. im pretty new to it.
It has no living space, two walkways are located next to rear landing thrusters but theres no connection to it, its there so i could save that project.
2x medusa reactor and 1x zenit reactor hidden since i didnt need it to jump too far etc. With all the mods added last two stats are 1573.3/1749.9 anyways.

On abandoned or ruined planets, mostly found in purple star systems I think, you can find memory stones. When you collect them, they give you a blueprint for one of the (I think 13) ruined decoration pieces, or some nanites. It can take some time to get all of them, I had to switch planets a couple of times because the memory stones kept giving me exclusively nanites after I got the first 10 blueprints. This entire temple is almost exclusively build out of those decoration pieces, love em!

I built it on PS5! And even without glitch building, at least as far as I am aware off. I did not use any offset glitches or cable glitches, just free placement and A LOT of patience. It really took a long time, but I’m really happy how it turned out! :))

even modified it a bit more by now, with the totems that where straight on the pics now being tilted back a bit to give it a more streamlined look

That’s the inside. Even tho the corvette is medium sized, the inside is just this one corridor because of all the exterior parts sticking through the hull. Also - not flyable in first person because of the stone dome infront of your nose hahaha

Tantive IV inspired CR90 from Star Wars. Built entirely in-game with no blender. Youtube designs were used as the bones and then I modified the hell out of it until it was my own ship entirely. Basically, only the engines' placement is from Youtube at this point.

I decided to heavily edit my take on Voyager, i completely redid the saucer section and took inspiration from one of the Enterpise models (the one after E but before J) and made the saucer sit only slightly above the battle section and placed the impulse engines on the umbilical section

Yup. 3. Once the ship moves the starships to move away since they can’t exactly move with the landing pad but if the ship stays stationary the starships can be docked and launched back out etc

Ye. If I had more photos of the inside I would show them but inside of it there’s well the 3 landing pads. Defo could fit more but I kept it small for a bit of storage. It has a living area/where the crew of the ship stays and the bridge can actually be entered or at least the new version of the bridge

I've reworked the Caspian Explorer, Reworked interior, optimized exterior, all build terminals + staff builder, jumpseats, infirmary, mess hall, hydroponics lab, access ramps on top and on the bottom. Fixed 3rd person view (and better color balance)

More like blender. It uses the core of blender and adds a UI on top of it with NMS Base building parts, you can essentially "sculpt" a ship using any NMS asset

Oh wow, yeah some of those builds I’ve seen are incredible, I’ll have to look further into it, it’s saved to an M.2SSD externally so I wonder if that’d make it easier than being on the systems cache

Yeah, it wouldn't matter where it is located, either on M.2, hard drive or whichever. Normally the JSON with all the files of all your bases and some ships you encountered in the Nexus can be found in the Appdata Roaming of No Man's Sky.

You'd need an app like NMS Save Editor in order to change the properties inside of the JSON file. I'll send you the link of the video I learned how to do it

Thanks! The full vertical and the pieces angled around the main body were done by a technique called planetary tilt or tilt glitching you can youtube it. It involves flying a properly setup corvette out of station and towards a planet. Then free placing a window while space walking.

The other angles I did through wire glitching which is more complicated and involved
