I don't mind the variety, but I think each ship should really excel at something to make the gap worth owning another ship, like, for example, the hauler imo should have double stack slots like a freighter, a solar should have almost no fuel usage, explorer should have some scanning edge like system scanner or something like that, fighters should have huge manouverability and damage boosts.
the exotics/sentinels are good as they are.
also, I would reeeealy love to have more control over fabricating ships, gimme more color options, stickers, small decorations, whatever, 3 parts and basic color options is not enough to make it worth fabricating
