I just got the game. I was running a extremely relaxed infinite credits run just to understand how it works before I start playing my main run, and I wanted to get a squidship beca they were cool so I went to a system that spawns it, went to a trading station and set a save beacon on top of the roof so I could reload my save faster to get more ships to spawn. Now every time I join I'm stuck in the wall unable to move, I can't place anything down, I can't summon any creatures, I can't get a ship close enough, moving in a loading screen does not work, the photo mode which doesn't work, and it seems like Im completely screwed. Any tips?

I hope to see that happen to my settlement... It has a 10.5M Unit debt and I have been trying to fix it since ages since when I first got it it was getting 500K more debt every day. Now it only gets around 100K more. And yes, when you pay off your debt your settlement will start making items that you can sell.

You will eventually get construction opportunities, which allows you to build different kinds of production structure and get different things out of your settlement, my favourite being the tower and starport. The starport allows settlement to produce frigate fuel, but the tower gives you an anomaly detection charge every 24 hours, which is great for hunting for organic frigate because how much of a pain anomaly detectors are to get

Another favourite of mine is leisure centre for the autophage settlement,they give inverted mirrors and radiant shards, great for hunting sentinels

If you want opinion, invoice for scrapping sentinel interceptors

As for crashed ship savaging the sentinel interceptors give a lot more units than the regular ones if you do that.
Takes some time (mostly to find the hotspots and such) but for crafting you can set up bases just for mineral mining.

I'm a factorio player, and I like the idea of making a decent production factory, where I can also use the materials to craft the expensive components.

Once you can make the stasis devices or fusion igniters then you can really make some units.

The reason I don't like suggesting stasis device early is because a lot of exploration is required and it gets hard and time consuming if you don't have any starting resources to make that step easier. I would definitely pivot towards stasis device after getting to like 9 digits worth of units, but probably not before that

Yeah but it's a nice goal to have, like, right now I need salvaged data for the mineral extractors and supply depo's and stuff, Ideally I'd wanna do it all on one planet, which means I think I need my freighter to harvest Sulphurine, but I am not sure how to get more Gas Harvesters on my freighter, and if I can automate them at all.

It takes a lot of setup.
I think i went more into gas extraction and making some of the prerequisite parts since for 3 types of gas and some condensed carbon you can get a bit down the crafting tree.

After that can work up from there.

Yeah my currently planet has nitrogen, and I am in a green system so I can get Sulphurine from the star, but its REALLY slow, so I need to expand my freighter setup for that, then I need hydroponics for all the Fleshy stuff, like Cactus

The freighter gas extractors are extremely unreliable, I do not recommend relying on them

Another option is setting up extractors for gold and oxygen, the gold can be sold directly, oxygen can be used to expand chlorine into more chlorine in 2 slot refiners.

I mean it's 15 Sulphurine per hour per extractor, so surely I can just make more extractors to get like 100 or 200 Sulphurine per hour

or I could make two bases I guess and just find a Desert planet, but there is not one in my current "Main base" system

The extractors on a planet can be placed over the hotspot, depending on the rank of said spot 2-4 will hit the 1k/hr where they start to have diminishing returns, but you can then make a separate level with another set above the first ones.

I just got the game. I was running a extremely relaxed infinite credits run just to understand how it works before I start playing my main run, and I wanted to get a squidship beca they were cool so I went to a system that spawns it, went to a trading station and set a save beacon on top of the roof so I could reload my save faster to get more ships to spawn. Now every time I join I'm stuck in the wall unable to move, I can't place anything down, I can't summon any creatures, I can't get a ship close enough, moving in a loading screen does not work, the photo mode which doesn't work, and it seems like Im completely screwed. Any tips?

It's actually super easy and then to alter the eggs you just need like cobalt and some simple things If you have any of those cadmium or rare elements those work also you can even use anything from radiant shards to other things to mutate them also Just kind of experiment that's what I do
