Yeah, I'm always a bit surprised when I interact with the emergency capsule from a crashed ship for example, it used to be a way to unlock tech blueprints, but no one does it this way anymore.

Probs not even in abandoned, since Utopia stations exist. With nanites being far more rare in abandoned though, I guess it might even make sense to sometimes unlock a blueprint through an emergency thingie.

The other good thing is the Anomaly being empty...like yes you could refuse players gifting you stuff, but if you really get into the rp like I do, then it would make no sense for your character to do that and throw away free money basically. And seeing all the fancy ships and huge corvettes...the new anomaly kinda ruins my rp tbh,

since it's so easy to meet other travellers who are rich and it teaches my character quickly that a lot of things they considered rare, aren't actually rare or really valuable. Taking away from their sense of wonder & progression.

A lot of my 'complaints' about modern NMS boil down to the galaxy feeling less vast and deep ig. Like getting to the centre or other galaxies is so easy now too thanks to teleporters.

Abandoned would solve most of these things for me, really.

Hey guys new(ish) as in like 30 hours into my save. Working on multiple random things, primarily the main storyline.

I am looking more into freighters and I have a couple questions:

1. How do i get the items I need to unlock freighter tech.
2. Is there any process on what frigates I should buy, currently, I am buying any affordable ones to increase my fleet size, but I really cant afford to send them all on an expedition so I am unsure.
3. What is the purpose of the squadron?

Every time you enter the derelict it makes a roll on what type you get, it can lead to getting 4-5 in a row the same but usually you'll get a different one, sometimes it takes forever to get that last trade one or whatever, but you get 14 fleet ones on the way that you can sell

Apparently the issue that prevents refueling any Exocraft in the PC Experimental branch is the Icarus Fuel Recharger. If you remove it, delete it, you can refuel and use your Exocrafts again. FYI.
