early game, you can bring navigation data (you can get this from red and white spinny flags at buildings, and other ways) to the cartographer on station, buy a "emerg distress beacon" map - will get you crashed freighter (6 bins to loot) or a crashed ship, or a screwy building... if you leave the ones you dont interested in active and keep hitting the map, you can force the map to only locate the thing you want.

you will be able to buy a "freighter" (and can build the interior - but can't fly this, only warp it.
You can also hite associated "frigates" and hire associated "squadlings" - but can't fly these.
you can also build a "corvette" which is a really big walkable ship which you can also fly.
you can also build normal ships, once you start scrapping for parts.

Base teleporter needs to be built on a base property, and works the same as the one on the space station.

But you also need to give it power.

There are also short range teleporters that can be used to travel 200u distances.; you can only hook two together, to network you need to get fancy.

I wanted to sharea building idea i had from old minecraft structure that i built a while ago. On one of my save files i had a massive DEEP structure called The Basement, it starts with a big entrance frame and stairs that go deeper and deeper with moody dim lighting, it has multiple floors that are each their own seperate rooms with different stuff, all the floors are wide, first floor is sugar cane [build in a way that if there was something behind sugar cane you would struggle to see it so you could get jumpscared on purpose], second floor is the library [wide space with book shelves], third floor is the last one that goes around 130 blocks down and on the side a door to a small dark room with items in chests

I hope this inspires someone to build something interesting

The first things you are gonna want are ship and exosuit tech upgrades, and maybe scanner upgrades. I'd save for rank S ones, and not waste my time on anything else. They are not that much more expensive and the boosts are way better. Jetpack tank capacity, flora/fauna/mineral boosts over 10000%, and maneuverability upgrades for the ship are probably what I would aim for first.

if you've got a good gun, kill sentinels, if you've got lots of money, buy packs at pirate stations, if you're brand new, then you might make sure you sheck every "damaged machinery" item on the landscape and clean off the goop - all that goop refines into nanites, eventually, but you'll also get nanites by interacting with the machinery once it's fixed. You also get a nanite infusion once you've scanned EVERY creature on the planet.

go into steam settings, go to in-game, tick "save an external copy of my screenshots" specify a folder to save them to, then it's full 1920 x 1080 uncompressed
then use the steam screenshot key to take screenshots in photo mode instead of left click, that way glyphs stay in the screenshots

I have a different weapon on each of my ships, for variety.

1. photons are much more accurate the longer the distance, compared to infraknives, even though the projectiles dont seem much faster, but they actually have a much bigger radius
2. on corvettes, going for 6 photon guns (6 is maximum number of operating guns) allows u to free up many more tech slots (which are very contested on corvettes) compared to any other gun
3. its blue
