so I reported a bug today.
I had my base near an NPC building.

upon logging into today post update, going to space station and coming back, the NPC building I lived next to is completely gone

Heres a big list of everything wrong with deep water planets:

• first of, the insanely bright sun when you are underwater.
• waves (the big ones added in RELIC) keep disappearing and appearing, looks really ugly in game
• none of the deep water plants can be mined, heck even their collision is gone
• sea glass is invisible
• a certain deep water fish is so insanely fast you cannot see it for more then a second
• the terrain is DIFFERENT for PC and nintendo switch 2 (game breaking for save cloud users)
• GRRRRRRRHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

afaik, the only things that really change between each personality stat is the pool of actions it draws from (buffs, debuffs, attacks), whether or not the bonus action happens at the end of turn or on taking damage, and the target.

so it was almost empty because there were no boosters or habitation units or anything but also no weapons

Exactly. Save editing and modding has been a thing in the game since year one.

And so far the co-existense of modded players with vanilla players has been inconsequential, apart from some pvp griefers that can be easily avoided by turning off pvp.

But there are some hardcoded guardrails implemented by HG that prevent "bad faith" cheats. See for example the inability for someone to forcibly edit another players base without permissions. Of course they can overlap their own base with mods but they can't manipulate another players base parts themselves.
