It depends on what you wanna do. You can catch n release fish to get some nanites, can hunt titan worms to refine their stuff to nanites… can loot derelict freighters to refine tainted metal and living slime into nanites (living slime into runaway mould THEN into nanites).

I dunno if that bug was already reported but regardless: if you 'land' on the freighter in your corvette and teleport on the freighter before the spinning of your corvette is finished, you will constantly be spinning, only reload of the game save fixes that.

go to the seller on the right side with the suspicious arms, buy them and open them up, they will have prohibited modules that you can sell to the guy next to him

easy quick way to get thousands of nanites everytime you come across a pirate system

hehe not useful as in fills up dozens of INV slots and takes 1:45 to refine, been there done that. it was a nice early activity.
