Frigate will run missions for you, just give em fuel. They'll level to S class given enough missions. They sometimes get damaged and need repairs.

Depending on the save I'm playing, main one still using a sentinel interceptor a lot, PD and abandoned saves went to a corvette. (Abandoned mode doesn't have freighters so making one with the storage boxes, some refiners, ect. in it is a good idea.

One is looking towards the exit from right behind the cockpit, other is looking down the "hallway" to the rear out the landing bay.

One easy way is to look at the bases that are comunity highlighted in different galaxies. Then warp ten times or something, and you should be on your own.

Positron Ejector looks ballistic. Phase Beam is a pretty high accuracy weapon. While not EMP, Cyclotron disables engines. Rocket defenses really feel unnecessary. I've never been hit by one as of yet. Sorry this is belated.

dont worry mines looks like someone took a runaboutand a defiant class and smushed them together and then tryed to fit the enterprise-e warp core and auxiliary reactors into it . especially since i use phasers/ beams with the vettes if you use cyclotrons you get 12 beams in total. the cyclotrons are great for diving into a planatery well for resources. but i use rockets for secondary/ atomosspheric combat🤣

oohh that’s intriguing had my vette hovering over me with my frieghter in low and was tring to find the right scanner on my exocraft but apparently on the steam deck if you get into the sentinel minotaur in first person it completely crashes your game not gonna retry that🤣

they are amazing especially withe 12 reactors stuffed inside🤣 and the auto assist reduction module

they can out a sentinel carrier ship in about 10 secs and that without the extra three phase beams that is a bug

the only thing i wished we had in the corvette builder is a move all button🤣

I would say use the items you've learned before you go unlocking too many. If you unlock everythig before you start playing with them, you're going to be overwhelmed and end up not using some of them.

Your first ten bases are gonna look like crap anyhow 😄 The build engine isn't easy or iuntuitive at first.
Then you'll become a genius like me.
Then you'll realize that genius is overrated, and settle for the simple life.
