It doesn't have that many uses it is also not hard to get so up to you. In the future if you need daggers you can buy them from Vykeen pilots, but only those that land on planets and not from those on the space station.

You can gift them to Vykeen if you want to increase your standing with the faction or sell if you need units.

There are a few appraoches to taking out a dreadnaught, depending on if you want to capture it, want to get a module from it. or just plain want to blow em up

so you might look into modules timing, it's not hard true but you can get better modules if you get some cheap ones and place 10-15 of them noting when the best stats land, restart the save and place mule modules to the number wherre the good one lands, place an expensive one getting best stats, save out and restart repeat to place another good one.. To use a portal you need to progress the main story quest and learn the digits.

The glyph set is the portal address for the system/planet that the ship is in.
Of course you need to be in the same galaxy too.
Coords are latitude/longitude for that planet, can see them in the cockpit display if you fly in first person view.

To locate a portal on your current planet, you can use a monolith (which you can scan for with an exocraft). After (successfully) completing the monolith's interaction, you can request the portal location.

then salvage (yellow sign) have corvette ship parts and misc junk in them

there is a lot to collect lol

then burry CACHE has other junk that is valuable

The odds and ends you get from the corvette scrap containers can be used to trade for other parts too at the space station.
They also have a spot to store your extra parts in.

I don’t use any mods, but I’ve gotten overbite or underbite system freighters at random chance for freighter rescue battles, not just the capital sentinel one or venator one

Paradise planets aren’t always “earthlike” but they have no aggressive sentinels and no storms

Freighters have something corvettes do not though. Install a matter beam tech in a freighter and you can access it and all its storage containers directly in your inventory, no need to even board the freighter. Though the freighter does need to be summoned in the same system in order to access to the containers.
