but first you have to find a copper mineral extracton site

which is different from a copper deposit

you locate it with your analysis visor

set it to mineral deposits

huge question i need opinions on. I havent played this game since almost release and I finally bit the bullet and am diving back in. I have progressed to right past the anomaly, built a corvettre, upgraded some tech, etc. I then just went back and played breach for those sweet sentinel parts and im wondering if i should continue the main story on my original save or keep all the great tech and access to purple systems and start the story again on this save. i am however worried about ruining the feel of progression to an extent so im basically asking if the road to what i hav/can do now is enjoyable enough to get there from scratch or if its negligible and i should keep the new save as my main!!!

there is no fuel. if you have items in the pocket dimension you build the cache and it will let you take them out. that is all. you cannot put items into the dimension, except by deleting a base with buildings.
deleting the previous storage cache just deletes your access to the pocket dimension, not the items, so you can have zero, or multiple previous item caches and they will all access the same pocket dimension.

I picked up a sentinel ship yesterday that I could use to upgrade my corvette. The sentinel ship, while good, wasn't really what I wanted, I fell in love with the Corvette-system the second I stepped foot into mine. However, the sentinel ship had a Q-Resonator upgrade module that tripled the damage output of the infra-knife weapon. And I could move the module from the sentinel ship to my corvette. So I am going hunting for more sentinel ships on the off chance they have similar upgrades for other stuff 🙂

Am I right in understanding upgrade modules in that as long as they got color, and stack, they are "unrolled", and when I install them, the stats roll and become fixed for that module, even if I uninstall and reinstall it? (this is by observation, I'm just confirming that this is the behavior)

How to farm X-Class Upgrade Modules

1. Purchase at least 6 up to 10 X-Class Upgrade Modules for what you wish to get a good 'roll' on.
2. Make a restore point
3. Install them all, one at a time, keeping note on the exact 'order' as well as 'good' or 'bad' rolls.
4. Reload your restore point.
5. Repeat the same amount of 'installs' as follows:
6. For any of the bad rolls, you instead install any different Upgrade Module (packing an existing to re-install works as well).
7. For any of the good rolls, you install an X-Class Upgrade Module.
8. Once you have (re-)installed the same amount of Upgrade Modules you tested, you create another restore point again.

Note: you can now repeat the above, using any remaining X-Class Upgrade Modules.
