I was like oh damn the first galaxy jump I did , and I reloaded the save from mins earlier because I had no idea it would fuck up my shit, this was ages ago

Duping. (Seriously. It's not to referenece that argument, but genuinely ruined my save with it.)

Like I had an around 200 hour save ..

I had like 60% of all alien words learned on it. (Korvax I was closer to like 90%)

Grinded to get every building piece with buried salvage ..

Every upgrade unlocked with nanites ..

Optimised loadout with top tier S class upgrades ..

S class Freighter (which I spent like 18 IRL hours for reloading constantly)

Only real thing was left to do is getting the upgrades for Freighter with freighter salvage thingy, but I was pissed off by how hard it was to come by ..

So I duped a shit ton of them, upgraded everything and was just standing there with regret ruining an otherwise almost perfect save that I worked hard for.

Just deleted the save and took a break from NMS.

It's not really about "cheating" in general. Like even though this game has multiplayer, essentially imo it's still a single player game so everyone can do whatever with their saves, it doesn't affect others. (Unless creating such monstorities that crashes the game for others in the anomaly 🤪 🤪 🤪 )

But it was you know .. A personal goal sort of thing to do everything legit to the very end.

Like to me even the runaway mold farm for nanites or sentinel ship hunt for money is kinda cheaty too, but I still recommend them if people are asking for tips as it is being "cheat" or not is entirely personal opinion in this game IMO and they can choose to do it or not.

Been through a few searching for the purple hub system, but didn't record any as the conflict level is always too high in pirate systems

Out of my 800 hours of playing, I've been to around 80-100 gas giants

Which is absolutely nothing

The cool thing about settlements in pirate systems tho is you get normal sale and contraband at the terminal, plus your base teleporter can take you to pirate and normal systems

And in pirate systems no sentinals, so as far as the settlement goes I feel like the attacks even out, in normal systems you get both sentinal and pirate attacks. No sent ships in pirate systems 🤷‍♂️
