Spent some time yesterday optimizing shader loads in No Man's Sky. Found out Steam was barely using my CPU for Vulkan, so I bumped the config to 12 threads instead of the bare minimum. Load times are way faster and it's a solid performance boost, definitely worth the manual edit on Linux.

I built a custom starship after salvaging and buying parts for a fighter. I salvaged it and went to build another one with a higher tier reactor, because the description calls them re-usable customization parts. I was not able to use them again.
Also I had spent like 40 mill by then buying up parts.

the one that hovers over water is useful for boggy areas or those with a bunch of lakes, the nomad is fantastic for mountainous areas, general exploration and salvage data collection, the colussus is now the go to for scrap hauling, the standard exocraft rover or whatever is the most fun for driving around on low G planets, and I think thats all of them?

in short, materials that are available via hotspot or by planting, you get them that way - anything you can't you'll have to source e.g. by refining. this image has all the mats that can be hotspot harvested.
