I did move my main over to where this one is temporarily, can freighter scan the planets then I don't have to keep rescanning them with the other save.

So far that one has found a couple A class freighters but would like to find an S mainly so upgrading cargo is one and done.

Been using the corvette with storage boxes installed in it as a far smaller "freighter" for my inventory.

I was first looking to find a dissonant korvax system with at least one cold planet for me to live on. Though i wasn't picky if a paradise planet came up too. After like, 2... maybe 3 warps I've managed to find a system, which sadly only has a 2-Star income level, it does have: A hot planet, a radioactive planet, a toxic planet, a ringed paradise planet and a hot dissonant planet, allowing me to not only live on what I percieve an ideal location but only be a minute away from all the radiant shards i may need

It's basically the same, but there is now a exosuit item that is a nutrient intake system that lets you consume special recipe items and get massive, temporary bonuses, like being able to scan fauna at 10 mil units each - sort of thing.

The layout should be the same for all the ones you find in a single system

They are one-time use, but they're also going to be the same in the same system. So saving the space station as a favorite is effectively saving the derelict. You do need a new scanner each time though.

Starfield is Bethesda rpg in space, star citizen is more handmade than procedural generation with more focus on multiplayer. No man's sky is a sandbox thats all in on procedural generation.

For reasons entirely my own, I replayed the Artemis Path focusing only on the main mission: no speedrunning, glitches, or exploits, and only necessary side content. I recorded everything: nearly seven hours of footage though the game says four hours of playtime recorded on the save. It felt heavily padded and lacking substance. The game repeatedly tells you that events are happening or that your character is witnessing something important, but all you actually see is an NPC staring at you and a text box and then you are sent off to perform some basic task

And the repeated trips to Nada are a good example of pointless padding. At specific points the game switches your active mission and pushes you to summon the Anomaly, sit through the landing animation, walk over, and receive a brief comment plus a small nanite or quicksilver reward. Nada usually already knows what you’re reporting or already suspected it, and the conversation rarely reveals anything new. It ends up being just a nothing burger. It's completely optional and you can ignore it but it just doesn't have any point being like this.

Also storytelling through logs and recordings can work, some games do it well, but it breaks down when the text describes events supposedly happening in front of you while nothing is actually shown on screen except staring into your soul.

It feels like they had some idea to tell a story and that story has some interesting themes, but it all falls aparts really quickly due to lack of skill or some other restraints and I had to vent a bit about the experience.

It can really hurt if you don't break it into smaller bits and do something fun between them

I found a crashed freighter log that talks about familys and it says the gek breed extremely fast but have no family ties at all , clones maybe? that the korvax sometimes produce new entitys as experiments and that the vy'keen are the only ones that have families with emotional ties. it was obvious the writer of the log wasn't any of the three. That's you assuming that's the assumption, but the game does try to throw other content at you on multiple occasions. The issue tho it why would I do any crafting, building or other stuff? The only point I encountered where I had to do something else was when I needed to land and craft some warp cells bc one mission objective ended up far away and I'm pretty sure it wasn't intentional and just randomised part.

There are no points where you are really forced to slow down and take a breather. During Apollo's part he tells you to make sure you are ready for the next step bc you won't be able to get back home for a while but that's a lie.

The Artemis Path definitely shouldn't be done in the way I did it, only focusing on it, it also shouldn't even be attempted to be done in one sitting. It simply isn't good experience. However I don't think it's communicated to the player in any way, not really. If someone thought they should focus on the main story there is nothing that would tell them that they should slow down and do something else. I finished the path with starting ship and multitool with no upgrades and without engaging with other game mechanics.

Nip-Nip is too low value to be even close to profitable enough to carry the big costs...at 47k each you'd make about 750k per dome...you'd need 1000 biodomes to make around 750 million...which is low for a unit farm.

There is very much a reason. For one it's faster, if I harvest most off my plants 3x a day I have less than 30 minutes of refining for 1.87 billion. But more importantly, I can store Stasis Devices in a storage container for times when a messily 4.29 billion just won't cut it...if I need to max slots of a ship the cost is between 7 and 11 billion...having a bank to draw from means I can frontload big costs and refill my container and units over a few days after.

It is important to remember that Hello games keeps low costs thanks to having small team and nms isnt really full on multiplayer game, so the costs are low there too
