The game only checks the validity of an address if you input it into a portal. You obviously can't select 'invalid' systems on the map because they aren't represented by stars, and things like black hole/relic gate destinations, starting systems, etc are all limited to the first set of system indexes that are always valid.

If you do get into an invalid system though, the game will just generate it as if it were valid. 'invalid' just means not accessible, there's nothing actually wrong with those addresses otherwise

I get that, it was more me thinking about the systems that are intended to never be visited under such circumstances. Ive heard of issues regarding being in any inaccessible system near the galactic core, including that of the core itself, but especially the one where the space anomaly is hosted in

As well as the possibility (however low it may be) that a normally inaccessible system could cause issues with a save file if a player happened to edit themselves into it

Using short range teleporters you can pretty much instantly respawn the deposit. I usually build farms on extremely radioactive farms bc radioactive storms increase the yield
