I don't even care about the units...the only things I loot are the datapads until I get the login credentials for the second terminal and the final terminal...I don't loot anything else. On my main save I looted even less...when I wasn't hunting derelict lore I just ran for the final terminal for tech module or cargo bulkhead and looted nothing else...didn't even bother with first two terminals.

That lake is actually a ways down. About 300u from the base comp if I want to put something in that spot.
Power hotspot up in the hills behind the base so may just suspend some domes for crops up in that rough stuff. No grass anyways.

high sentinel or pissed off sentinel planets if you build a raised floor and put slope roof parts on the edge they cannot see you in your base, then you can step out pick a fight and peek out from the cover of your "blind"

I have one small base by a sentinel pillar on a planet with hostile sentinels to farm them but I don't care about the whole trying to pick them off from a blind spot or whatever...I just fight them in the open though I could just aggro some, shut them down, loot the containers, save-reload, and repeat. But I mostly just fight all the waves in the open. The reason I have the base by the pillar is there's a minotaur there so I can kill it for a quad servo before the fight starts so I get an extra quad servo every five waves.

39 is a lush galaxy and it's not Eissentam or any of the most populated galaxies so I imagine he chose it for the peace and anonimity of the place. I am in a similar situation...different galaxy but similar situation. It's great to be in one of the many in-between galaxies that virtually nobody speaks of or lives there...if anyone else lives in that galaxy I don't think it's more than like 5 others tops and there's a solid chance I'm the only one there.

No, you get the glyphs at the end of the questline during a quest called The Purge, where you have to warp to other systems 16 times and every jump gives you one glyph.

I like capes quite a lot...fortunately a lot of those accidents Edna talked about aren't possible in NMS. Well, I like one cape in particular, the cosmic megafauna cape. I have all the others but they're either tattered/damaged or they are meh. I used to refuse to wear capes for the longest time after they were added to the game and they used to be very buggy, but now they are mostly fine so I moved to the cosmic megafauna cape a couple years ago and stuck with it since.

That depends on specifically what you want to make...there is no such thing as one guide to all cooking. But there are general simple rules like find out what products creatures make when fed and what meat they drop when killed, keep a handy supply of common ingredients like milk, eggs, honey, etc. Find out what you can make from bio dome flowers...refine cactus flesh twice and you get sugar, refine ice crystal flowers twice and you get flour...others give you steamed veggies, etc. That should be well enough to get you started.

After the quest once you buy a second egg, you can give it for the crash site of a living ship, but if you reject it you instantly get refunded the void egg, then you can warp to another system and repeat the process. You can use one egg to look at many living ships. If you check out too many you may find a mechanical ship at one point, if that happens, save, close and reboot the game and a living ship should be there and you can keep going. After the quest you only lose the void egg when you accept a living ship.

Distress maps cannot and will not find living ships...ever. You can only find living ships with a void egg, but you can trade one egg over and over to see as many living ships as you want, it gets refunded every time you reject the ship the game marked for you. Also @heavy cosmos

Living ships replace mechanical ships at crash sites when you give a void egg to a living ship...if you find that same crash site without first trading a void egg to a living ship in space there will be a mechanical ship there.

So it is not possible to find crashed living ships without a void egg.

No. For the purge you just have to warp 16 times...the game says to go towards the center but it doesn't matter...you can warp away from the center if you want and it still counts. Once you've warped 16 times you will get a new objective and progress the quest.

Living Ships can only be S class...it does not matter what the mechanical ship there is. You will never see a living ship of class C, B, or A.

Very nice, I've heard they're ridiculously slow to upgrade. I feel like they should be buffed in their base stats to compensate for that, but then again even on survival settings I've never had trouble with space combat

Increasing their slots is very slow and painful, only living frigates can find the spawning sacs during frigate expeditions and it's quite rare. Utility tech you get from psychoic eggs which living frigates find more often, and other upgrades you can find by pulsing in space with a living ship. And you can upgrade living ship modules to S class by paying nanites after you install them.

And it released just after NMS when the sentiment towards NMS was still very negative so I think they tried to position themselves as a "good" alternative to try to fish for the players disappointed by NMS.

Think of it like this:
Each system has 21 ship models
These are distributed between based on what race is there
More haulers in Gek systems
More fighters in vykeen systens
More explorers in Korvax systems
There is a chance for any ship model, in any system to be overridden by a solar ship
That chance is higher in outlaw systems

Whenever a ship spawns in a system it will randomly pull one of the 21 ship models for that system

I wish there was a way to set it so that when you get in starships/exocraft it would play the first-person animation and then automatically switch to the third-person view and do the opposite when you got out.

Roamer, I believe is the best one to drive in 1st person since its the first exo

Pilgrim...headache, but fun sometimes since its drifts a lot

So more fun on flat land in 1st person
