Even so, it's nowhere near what the actual thing would be and that just makes it unwieldy and annoying to operate. You can't dock with stations or the anomaly like you're supposed to, can't carry ships or operate properly like a capital ship either, etc. You just have an oversized ridiculous thing that still looks like a ridiculous miniature.

The landing pads are huge because corvettes can be huge...even with just the regular 100 part limit without glitches or mods you can make some pretty large corvettes. But when he said landing gear I thought he meant the launch thrusters, which are the ship's landing gear.

I mean the launch thrusters are larger than those of normal starships but but they are not larger than the main section of the corvette unless you just have a very small starter one with like a single habitation module. If that's the case you just have to develop your corvette some more...the launch thrusters really aren't that big compared to the size of an average corvette.

I mean, this is my corvette, and it's pretty average in size, I really wasn't trying to have a ton of habitation modules. Corvettes can get much much larger than this. You can't see the launch thrusters and they are about the right size for the ship...definitely not too large:

I personally don't like the flat foot launch thrusters for corvettes, they look weird to me. I like the double cylinder ones because they rotate and emit trails like engine mods in flight and when landed they emit smoke that looks like vapor like they are being cooled...looks awesome af imo. And the 3 point hover pads also look awesome too.

Console player can turn off cross play...which is probably the smart thing to do. A PS5 or Xbox Series X can handle more than most PCs that aren't top of the line but even then the super large modded corvettes create problems. But PC players can't really do that, they can only turn off multiplayer completely or be forced to deal with it.

Personally I go out of my way to live where basically no other players will run into my area of space...there are over 240 out of 256 galaxies that are basically never spoken of...and if you don't live in the spawn zone or near the galactic core of one of those you will practically never even see anything discovered by others, much less have issues with others building in your area of space.

You shouldn't have to worry about removing parts unless you are near the 21k cap or a base is so large it lags the game. I use less than 5k parts across all my bases so I am comfortably under the 21k part limit. Most of the parts I use are in my farm bases which use around 3,500 parts or so...I might even be under 4k parts total or barely over now that I think about it.

The plan for it was to look like a giant computer being ripped apart by the atlas that would be looming over the top of the pillar.

I finished the outside of the pillar, and made about half of the atlas eye but that’s it.

Remaining is making the illusion of being ripped apart by having more of those removed and floating panels warped and mangled as you go higher in the tower, then I needed to do an interior and exterior design of the atlas.

The tower also has an interior that was going to follow the same illusion as you go higher.

But tbh I just fell out of love with the idea.

Don't know what he plays on but should be fine...PS5, XSX, and capable PCs can handle what's in that screenshot easy. At one base I have 24 full bio-domes, over 100 extractors and EMGs and hundreds of silos and the game handles it comfortably...no fps drops, lag, or other issues yet. I haven't found the upper limit of what the PS5 can take yet.

What the hell? Even for death screens 2000 is waaayy too many times...surely 100 deaths would have got you all the death screen quotes. Not even sure how that would be possible. I use the Plasma Launcher, which is just as deadly to me as the geology cannon but I handle it with care...don't use in tight spaces and mind the distance. I think I have less than 20 deaths on my main save and I don't have many deaths on other saves either...I did have one separate survival save that I used to die in all the various ways that rewarded player titles. Granted I don't play a lot of permadeath but when I did play permadeath I had zero unintentional deaths.

Across all my saves in damn near 8,000 hours of play I don't think I have 50 deaths total...including the dozen or so intentional deaths for player titles.

Salvaged frigate modules cost either standing with a race or lots of time or lots of units as well as pretty damn slow to get. Beyond what I used I keep one stack of 60 in a storage container in case future updates add more things to spend them on but I'm not giving those away...especially when they're easy to get in game from freighter fleets and easy to reset standing to 0 if you go negative.

Currently the Breach expedition redux is active, we don't know what's coming next or when but new update and expedition is likely before the end of February, could even be in January. Just speculation but HG tend to release something early in the year.

No. We had a period of like six months once where it was either redux or new expedition one after another but that's not the norm. Sometimes there are months between expeditions.

Basically, the survey device is a really handy thing that allows you to see hotspots of electricity, hotspots for minerals on a planet and hotspots for gas

Electricity will become unlimited (pretty much) that way, and so will mining resources such as gasses and materials

There is a reason I did it. Basically, I love my freighter and had loads of room (this was also the original image; it later got so big that the game wouldn’t render the far corner of it 😂 )

But also, advanced trade products sell for a ridiculous fortune

The reason I did it on a freighter instead of a land base is because I could summon my freighter anywhere, so I didn’t have to constantly warp to one location

I farmed salvaged scrap for like 10 hours lol

To add to this, hyperdrive is better than that of a corvette when fully upgraded (from what I remember).

One of the things I like achieving in NMS, as shown by the picture, is an efficient money making method

And the most efficient method that requires the most set up but the least amount of faffing once it’s done is to make enough farms to regularly make advanced trading products

The best trading product you can make is the Fusion Ignitor and Stasis Device, selling for just under 16 million each

And with a good farm set up and all that, you could make these things potentially even daily

The reason I say that though is because once the hard part is out of the way, you can regularly obtain what you need and make the trade products consistently

And obviously, they do sell for a lot when in their best forms
