So, a galactic patrol never quite makes much sense in the grand scheme of things. Yes there needs to be laws, and certain spaces can be heavily regulated but it may as well be lawless in most places, the only real enforcement is that everybody has guns so don't act a fool and try to be civil.

I mean optimization can go a long was but balancing appropriately for each platform would be ideal instead of just deferring to lowest denominator

this is how the cut content exocraft called the "dragonfly" would have behaved like, aproximately, maybe not quite as dodgy , but same principle

used same model too

this happens when you land the exocraft on a planet with no ocean, non-modders can ride in one too

this i say is more versatile then a spaceship since crashing does not harm you
