Dreadnoughts always drop S rank, provided they do NOT surrender beforehand, if they surrender first, you do not gain any additional rewards for destroying them, which makes them not drop that tech

Are the values of modules dropped by pirate freighters locked to the system you get them from? Modules from derelict freighters are not guaranteed to be S but they have the advantage that their values are locked to the solar system so a system with S hyperdrive module with +250ly will always be S +250ly whenever you get a hyperdrive module. The ability to reliably get maxed hyperdrive and fuel modules for the frigate fleet is huge for derelicts. Not sure if that applies to pirate dreadnaughts because their modules are not the same as those of the system derelicts since system derelicts don't have S modules in most systems while pirate dreadnaughts are guaranteed to drop S modules.

These are earthlikes, at least from space. But you never know until you land. One although had a yellow atmosphere (you can tell in the pic) so that excluded it. Some just like other planets, look awful when you land😭

You can tell a lot from a space scan...you can tell the biome, if lush they'll have star bulb, you can tell if they are infested or brood planets, and you can tell if they have hostile sentinels. Weather is the only big thing you usually can't tell from space...unless they are paradise worlds you have to land to tell what the weather is like.

well, you will know what colour the sky will be before going into the planet. The upper atmosphere is what you will see in the sky on planet.
I can tell, that the 1st planet will have red or orange sky, while the 2nd planet will have purple sky

Don't know about movies but in NMS there are rare glitches where planets can heavily clip into each other...which you shouldn't land on them if they do.

A few expeditions ago, I found one that generated a mountain that got cut off by the border between the planet and space itself. I could walk on the flat top, but flying up with a jetpack for 3 seconds suddenly meant that I've left the planet.

The only way to get a portal onto your corvette is through a mod or a glitch of some sort. And even then it will only ever work as an outwards teleport. There is currently no way to teleport to a corvette even with mods.

You can make launch fuel easily with dihydrohen and ferrite dust

Save edits really isn't the easiest way for that, just turn on free build mode and repair and refuel your ship with a few clicks.
