get Glyphs and portal to the system I posted, go back and forth between them and destroy the engines and either the big guns on top or do the 2 trenches and destroy the shield generators 5 a side two modules each have to be destroyed.
I can get the engines and trench runs done about the same time as the civilian ship loses it's shields

I would recommend trying to complete the storyline somewhat naturally, and just play as you see fit at your pace

Many people like paradise planets. They do not have any agressive fauna or sentinel pressence at all

I prefer worlds that are a little more difficult to live in, preferably with a storm once in a while. I have a soft spot for ice planets. Sow is pretty.

The exact mix of prefabs that you like is something that you might only find several 100 hours in the game.

You have two options:

a:find a chart of planet types or
B: Just explore as you go along and not worry too much about it.

With a you can quickly find something that you are looking for, but you will also rob yourself of discovering it yourself.

While I am always somewhat shocked by the shenanigans the space nerds do.... after a little bit, I have to take a breath and remember I have been down in the labs, I have chatted with similar such people, and that deep intellectual sense of humour is... it's really something you have to fully witness to get anything resembling a grasp of it. Is it just me or is VR mode kinda bad? The controls aren't very good, optimisation is pretty poor and the sense of scale just isn't there imo

If anything the full 3d kinda breaks the illusion of the planets' size in the game

I find VR quite impressive, and it's well reviewed as being a better example of PC 3D, but I can't build in 3D -- even with the improvements made to the 3D VR build system some time back.

Those are sentinels, some actions trigger them, like picking up a gravitino ball, sac venom, attacking a sentinel, attacking a creature or using mining beam on something while they are scanning you, etc
