Got my first rune, then did other stuff and came back to the same planet because i wanted to salvage more parts to build a corvette. there’s some tricks to it, pick one race to do it to, so you aren’t fully penalized… then reset your standings with a thingy later. Also reduce sentinels bothering you as you do it to one, and then leave it alone, and focus on the freighters and stuff

**Why can't I land on this derelict? **
There are two different derelict freighter events in the game.

Not Boardable, if the derelict...
• is broken into large pieces, like the lower freighter model in this image
• has no landing pads by the bridge
• has shootable cargo pods nearby (it may not)

If there are nearby cargo pods, you may shoot them for materials, which it will trigger pirates.

Boardable, if the derelict...
• is not broken into major pieces
• has four landing pads located by the bridge
• looks like the top freighter model in this image (colors vary)

You may find it just by pulsing on rare occasions. But if you activate an Emergency Signal Scanner (ESS) in your inventory, you'll ensure one spawns. Once it's detected (see example), exit pulse, land and loot. Be ready with life support recharges, cold protection recharges, and ammo for your weapon of choice.

you can have up to 60 tech slots + 120 cargo slots on your exosuit

and inventory space is one of the most pricey things in the game

so buy those charts, stock up on materials to repair drops pods

and enjoy cheaper inventory slots

Go to a dissonance planet and blow up those mining thingies until you get an echo device and use that to locate a harmonic camp and then break the seal on the camp and use it to locate a dissoance spike whichll be a crashed ship you can repair for either a cool ass ship or a buttload of cash

You can buy emergency planetary charts that can point you to crash sites, then you repair the ship a little and it's yours to fly around

configuring your translator is what it sounds like you are doing. wel one way to find other sihips is of course by at the tradng posts you will be visiting. in the wild if you are lookin for a crashed ship, there's a scanner on one of the exocraft that will locate downed ships

go to the map and look around until you see a star system that says "dissonant" in the description. Go to that system and scan planets until you see "dissonance detected". Land there

Honestly it's easiest to just stick with your starter ship until you can get a new ship with more ease

I want to be able to store away frigates. It sucks having to basically give up on your expedition exclusive ones if you wanna swap them out

For sentinels around the dissonant resonator, I just go invisible after 2 shooting the structure, 5-8 seconds and they calm down. Easy peasy

Having your windows sticky keys setting turned on is the usual culprit for this. You can also rebind caps lock in Steam settings to prevent it from ever happening again

No it doesn't. You can set up a separate key binding for each game in your steam library. They each have their own separate profile

You can also go into your GPU and CPU settings and create setting profiles for each individual game. Which keeps you from having to shift around different GPU and CPU settings based on what game you're playing

Yea, my pinky doesn’t like to reach control, so I typically rebind keys up one, like control becomes shift, shift is caps lock, etc

It does when you are typing in chat or renaming something. It still recognizes caps lock being pressed. But sometimes when you press it the game will see it as being toggled on and off rapidly. Preventing other keyboard inputs

This is where turning off Windows Sticky Keys usually fixes it.

Really there's no reason to have sticky keys turned on. Unless you frequently repeat the same keys in chains. Which few people do

That's the light on the keyboard itself activating. The keyboard is controlling that on and off light when it senses the caps lock being pressed and then pressed again. It's just a light toggle. Not technically an on or off or activated/deactivated light.

Environmental mods are user only mods. Other players can't see them in your game

in general, mods for NMS are local only, they modify files only on your PC

whether the effect of the mod syncs somehow in MP, that's depends on the mod

other players will not see the mountain generated by the mod, but they will see your player model change its position as you climb
