3h 5 warp is capital freighter, pirate freighter in pirate systems, but some pirate systems bypass the requirement and always have a battle when you warp in

You do! After you turn down 2 or 3 normal ones the game always offers capital freighters. At that point you can save scum for the model, but sadly not the class.

You find them by finding a monolith which can be done with an upgraded exocraft radar or a planetary chart (purchased from space station). When you get to the monolith, it will present a challenge and you have to select the correct option. When you get the right one, you will have to present the monolith with a vy'keen dagger, korvax casing, or gek relic (dominant lifeform system dependant) and then it will provide the location of a portal

Then when you get to the portal you build a base or drop a save beacon so you know where it is and you don't have to hound it down again

You can get all the portal glyphs from doing the main storyline, namely The Purge

You are better off doing the Artemis quests, towards the end it will teach you all 16 glyphs, finding all traveller graves will take too long

You visit a space station and use the workshop there

To build a corvette type starship

You can buy some parts there and combine with those you found on derelict freighters

Look for planets with Salvageable Scrap label

They spawn buried objects that give corvette parts when destroyed

Ideally a low gravity planet with that scrap will let you fly or drive around and just mine them

Without having to deal with other objects in the way

No running errands, just running around the planet digging stuff up

what i saw until now is that the derelict freighters do give parts relieable, and it also gives enough other stuff, but with time its dull. as soon as you have a neutron cannon they are no match anymore.

so i wanted an alternative way 🙂 and the planets with scrap was a good idea 🙂

You know, in my mission to set up a base in every galaxy I am hopping from one to the next in order to find nice places to set up shop. I have to say I am not in the Hesperius Dimension and after checking about a dozen star systems - they are all terrible. Not one nice planet. I warp in, scan with the freighter, and see very pretty planets. Sure enough, nuclear, toxic, baren, lifeless... This is listed as a normal galaxy but dang.. This seems pretty awful. Even went through a black hole thinking I was just in a "bad neighborhood" but nope... Will give it a bit more time, then its find a dead moon and put a base there 🙂

You can use freighters instead, they have planetary scanners that automatically discover and log every planet in that system without needing to land on them

It's all pretty smoothly put in to be honest! Had 8 of us go around it, no fps drop (unless too many corvettes showed up)

Yeah, I know airless worlds are the best for it, as it simulates the sky, due to there being a limit on how high up. But if you scale, and put the origin point of a part below the limit, then it can scale as high as you want 😄
