You basically start as sort of a blank slate, depending on the expedition in question

You can transfer them if you wish, but it won't happen until after you finish expedition, even then, stuff you leave behind are converted to units and nanites, and then get merged into your main save

So you don't really lose much of anything

if you start an expedition from an existing save, you have an option to deposit some packed tech and items to the expedition

as well as make copy of existing primary ship and multitool

those items can be later retrieved from the terminal at Space Anomaly during the expedition run

it's totally optional, all expeditions can be finished from a brand new empty save

once you're done with the expedition you can use the same terminal to send items from exped back to primary save

to retrieve them on the main save

You just select a slot in the technology section of the ship's inventory

If you can't, that means you reached the limit of how many slots this ship can have for given class

only multi-tools which are multi purpose

so this game - its llike each system on your ship and tool instead of a tech tree, we pick up modules, various weapons, and scanners then we have upgrades to those items stacking them next to each other and putting the mains on glowing slots in tech increase that bonus further

What is the best way to arrange my jet pack modules to just min-max it?

Put the jetpack on the supercharged slot with the S/X modules around it, spread the S modules across the glowly slots and clump the rest, or something totally different?

Okay before I forget, there's this planet Losang Gamma, categorized as molten planet, I scanned and listed all the fauna,
so there's this small rock on it, gives ferrite dust and chromatic metal,
I was randomly mining one and suddenly crab like legs emerged and the rock started to skitter, I tried to use visor, not sure if I did it wrong but wasn't analyzing it,
I was using the mining beam on it and after finally killing it it gave meaty chunks and mordite,
not sure what it was but seemed pretty cool

I waited about 5,000 hours to start the Atlas Quest (which used to be the main / only quest (at launch)).

It then took me 38 minutes.

My suggestion is do the main quest until you meet Apollo (you'll know when you meet them) as up until then it acts kind of as a tutorial. Then you can keep going or just explore. I also recommend doing the base computer quest as it gives a lot of helpful blueprints to expand your base

Hi guys, is anyone else experiencing pretty severe motion sickness from this game? I tried disabling all kinds of camera shake but i still get quite nauseous after playing for a while, i think its mainly because of the weird spaceship sliding movement, its a pretty gas game but its pretty unplayable cuz it makes me really sick, anyone else or anyone have any fixes?

It's not really annoying to get them. I mean if you're hunting for travelers and Graves that is the more annoying way.

It only takes a couple hours of warping around and activating story points to finish the Artemis quest. And you get all the glyphs handed to you when you're done.

A lot of the tricks with it comes down to timing

Also, land exocraft can jump mid-air, but only once. Its like the jump is a small upwards thrust that recharges on contact with the ground

I have no basis for comparison other than with the Switch 1, but no complaints. No slowdown beyond maybe once or twice - and I'm a good few deca-hours in on S2. More Crashes but most of those were entering or exiting the anomaly with multiplayer on. Looks gorgeous and you can now see stuff on the ground from the air which is a massive improvement.

I bought a Switch for that, but then Mac got support, so I game on my MacBook Air when I am away for a long time, instead of Switch 1, the Mac being much more powerful.

Whenever you go to a station and land it's always best to just reload a couple times until you see the convoy of ships coming and going. Oftentimes it won't register that you landed or a system freighter may be close by to the station. Drawing NPC ships into their hanger. Rather than the station

This game is very sensitive with stick drift in general. If your controller is just a bit off you're done

And with no native dead zone settings you can't handicap it when it happens

Nice touch that the in-game button graphics shift to Sony's shapes when NMS on PC senses that Dual Sense.
