I have 9 shield spots at max health. Adding a Rememberance gives one core unit of health. How is that shown? Or if the health bar - does it get longer? How is it "seen"?

Both remembrance and starseed each add +1 health core. The circles with crosses under your shield bar.

Adjacent they give 3 total.

Supercharged individually they give 2 apiece. Even though the bonus for supercharged is .25% it rounds it up to the next whole number.

That's what I thought. But I have 9 crosses (max health for me) then added a Rememberance and a Star Seed and then went and opened a white health box on planet surface and it sat Health at Maximum -- did not give me more than 9 crosses...

If you're doing a permanent death run knocking out the atlas quiz ASAP and getting both of them is very helpful. Tech upgrade modules will have to Max you out at 9. But those take longer

Only way to repeat the whole experience is to start a new save. But if you ask Polo, he will point you to an Atlas interface where you can learn the language from the bubble things.

I feel like every time I come back to play No Mans Sky, it's been the same way for the 500 or so hours of playtime I have but I'll get a save to around 10 - 15 hours, and I'll have done almost everything in the game. I don't see what's meant to bring me back to play more. I still love this game and I appreciate the devs coming back to add features and fix everything wrong with the game, but like I really just don't see a purpose in this game past the main story anymore.

It's like they're adding new things, but it's still too easy. It's like those minecraft servers you join and you get given full Iron Gear to start off with, there's just no challenge. And it's not that getting iron is a challenge, but imagine if it was.

Actually there is one useful thing...1 Indium + 1 Chromatic metal = 2 indium = 4 Chromatic Metal. You can use chromatic metal to double both resources.

dunno if anyone answered you but if it's the outer edge, it's because the map is actually finite, just really big, so they didn't handcraft the map to stop generating starts, but when a star is out of boundaries you just can't go there, so that way they can mimic the appearance of an even bigger galaxy that you just can't visit. idk if the stars out of bounds are actually stars with generated planets but i think they aren't. some stars in this game seem to be cosmetic for some reason

Fixing the pulse engine and launch thrusters is the minimum to get it functioning so you can use it or even call it at a space station to scrap it for materials that you can sell.

If you want to use it fix pulse engine, Launch thrusters, Shields, photon cannons to start.

Mods and such are not illegal...at least I'm not aware of any government that passed laws against mods and save editing. And Hello Games won't ban you for it. That said a lot of the service bot functionality is locked behind a paid Patreon subscription and some of the things you can get from there like Corvettes made outside the game with parts that don't exist in the game...I'd be weary of that stuff. Wouldn't want some next update to struggle to load those things and then you lose your save file. So all in all I prefer to stay away from save editing and all that. Do things legit, it's better.

Get this; you can build one terminal; summon the exocraft, delete the terminal in build mode so the materials go back into your exosuit and then use those same materials on a different planet. You'll just have to hit the summon exocraft on the terminal before deleting it

Exosuits have the advantage that it's slots costs peanuts and drop pods exist, which is basically reusable exosuit upgrades

MT on the other hand is expensive even compared to starships, which cap out at 75m per slot, while MTs cap out at 600m

Not that long, buying a dozen or so drop pod maps and reusing the pods gets exosuit capped fairly easily

Make a base at each pod, then every day, revisit them and see if they are repairable again, if they are, they are ready to be reused

I discovered that by accident, because I was still playing in a group at the time and I was basing them so I could share it with my group mates, I had originally planned to tear them all down once everyone got their pods but found they eventually reset themselves

Same deal with starship wrecks, they also reset themselves over time

So I was religiously basing every wreck lol
