You got people with over 300 hours that unlocked most things in the game who have still yet to complete Atlas and artists missions. Then you got people who knock out Atlas and Artemis missions and unlock purple stars in their first 25 hours.

if you like the Interceptors, the Sentinel ships, you have to get Carrier AI Fragments off Sentinel capital ships, which will lead you to other ones.

if you engage in space combat with sentinels and defeat 4 waves, a carrier ship will spawn on the 5th. destroy it and you get a Carrier AI Fragment, which leads you to a crashed sentinel ship. by saving before using it, you can use it, check out the ship, and if its not cool you reload and jump to a new system and use it again

If you accidentally left a game running on the main menu overnight, steam would count that as an additional 8+ hours of playtime

I can see the counter ticking if it is open but the difference is quite large since I don't leave it sit at menu for long periods, and just close it out instead.

Generally, my guess is time spend in menus and loading screens gets included in the steam count but not the game count

Look at your save file time. Load the game. Pause it for 5 minutes. Then look at save file time again

If it went up 5 minutes that means it's tracking all your time in game. Even paused

Steam time is based on when you launch the game and when you close out of it. Regardless of if you're actually playing it

As near as I can tell if you use your main save for an expedition it isn't counting it for time towards your main save (which does make sense)
Otherwise a lot of time vanished somewhere.

That cannot be true because my prime iteration had the most time out of every save even before I was playing a bunch thanks to corvettes, and the only way it could have more than any other save was if it counted initialized expeditions as save time

Weird bugs happened today I destroyed a pirate freighter with my corvette and after a pirate ship would be destroyed then instantly respawn, also my corvette could destroy the pirate freighter guns in only a few shots, and then I warped to another system pirate battle again! Went back to the last system and pirate battle happened again! Craziest bug I’ve had in this game

There is an endless pirate spawn loop bug that can happen after killing a freighter. Can resolve it by flying into the station.

The double freighter battle isn't a bug. It's not timed like normal freighter battles. There is a small chance you can encounter them one after another. But usually it's 3-5 warps into pirate systems after the last to trigger another.

Depends on how you feel like doing it

You can do the stealthy route where you work to avoid encountering them as much as possible, or you can go full offense and fight through until you beat the walker

After that, theyll be disabled, but it also reveals the location of a Sentinel pillar you can mark to quickly disable them in the future, should you revisit the planet

Yep. When your shield goes down teleport back to corvette. Keep it hovering over the battle. When shield recharges go back down and attack them again

Yeah it's it's best feature. Just stop, go to quick menu and select the option to get out of your seat

Oh.....also you can get out of your seat, scan for salvage scrap, mark it and then fly to it. Shoot it with your photon Cannon and you'll collect the scrap. Then get out of your seat and mark the next one. Repeat until your inventories are full.

Disable your PC or console internet connection. This will be detaches you from all multiplayer networks. And reverts you back to a single player game state.

No bases will be visible. They will technically not even exist in your game

Easiest way to play expeditions. And no chance of running into grief bases

Disabling multiplayer keeps people from popping up. But you're still connected to the Discovery and base location networks.

Most of the time you can. But occasionally they get locked in your inventory. And you can only remove them with a save editor.

I don't know what you mean and I don't think that works...each of the big 3 languages have well over 800 words...some over 900...you can practice the same topic multiple times and you will get a different word every time because you can't learn the same word more than once. So I don't know what spreadsheet you're expecting.

Lol, vocabulary is not even used. You basically get a prompt and 4 choices, you can guess without penalty. They're just reverse engineering the guess->reward items.

Pretty sure you learn words from practice language...I did that in a bunch of expeditions where it's like learn 10 Korvax words or whatever and I just go to a station and practice language with some NPCs for it...no other rewards, but you can lose standing sometimes.

Learning alien words is like the only purpose of practice language.

Ah, now I see where you're coming from. The payoff for "learn a word" or "learn N words" is always the next 1 (or N) words not yet known. So the "reward" isn't a list of words just "learn N words", that is why the vocabulary (or size of it) does not matter. Once you know "guess A" produces "learn 10 words", that is all the spreadsheet would need.

Well I don't think practice language can teach more than a word at once, but I almost always got one and I just selected answers that fit the race...Gek are more trader/business types, Korvax are explorer robot hippies that are all about peace and science and stuff, and Vy'keen are warriors so fighting stuff.
