I found a bug in the game. If you are on a nexus mission and try to do a derelict freighter before turning in the nexus mission the main door to enter the derelict will refuse to open and you will lose the Emergency Signal Scanner you used to find the derelict. Now I don't really care because my main save can make basically infinite units but for another player losing between 5 and 25 million units could be very annoying.

i was told in here, that its a waste to set up a potential squadron members ship before recruiting them. - when i did try it a while back (2yrs) i could SEE all the modules I installed on their ship when I traded it to them. So, does it get reset after recruiting them? not sure i understand fully. back then I just did it, and they started causing damage, where before doing it the bar never moved.

Yes as an NPC standing next to the ship it will still carry the parameters of the ship you sold. But once factored into your squadron it does not. Which seems kind of asinine to me

In the end they can't make your squadron ships a strong as they are when you are piloting them. Not without ratcheting up combat difficulty and the number of enemies more.

At that point you can just fly around escorting your squadron and they do all the work.

Yeah that can happen, I did that with regular space stations once or twice. Right now I'm farming the other kind of derelicts for lore and cargo bulkheads. I want to make a stockpile of abut 300 of them in case future updates will force me to change my freighter or in case HG allow us to own more than one.

Main story quest led me to a planet with them for the crashed shuttle bit

Took me like 30 minutes to complete the quest because poi spawn with sentinels near them

And I felt like using that shuttle as my starter ship instead of the radiant pillar
