Don't take too long to do your base quests though. A lot of good tech is given in those quests. You can purchase them later but easier to get them free through the tutorial

Base building quests are your main tutorial. It will run you through base building, tech and crafting, multi-tools, exocraft and agriculture.

Sentinels, when I landed Sentinels attacked me

After 600 or so hours in permadeath I got killed in my ship on a nexus mission, some kind of energy just took me out as I was taking off, I am so upset, I had 3 settlements at S class, I had made it to the last galaxy, I had a ton of S class ships, frigates and so much more. This really hurt. I even had an S class pirate freighter. I have nothing left.

You're better off doing the main story into the end game missions to unlock those; you can visit them on expeditions but they won't truly be unlocked for you

When you see the dreadnaught for the first time, approach from the rear towards its engines, fly thorugh its shields. THEN start destroying the engines right away. This will prevent it from flying away. Then go down the trenches and take out the shield generators and the little cannister things that pop up...

Once you upgrade the primary weapons even the starter ship can easily do that battle.

It should not even try flying away until it took 70%(?) hull damage, and it cannot ifi t has no engines -- so it surrenders

What you want to do when you find a harmonic camp that doesn't have the Multitool you want is place a save beacon, fly to a different planet, land, exit star ship to make a restore point, reload that restore point, fly back to the planet you placed your save beacon on and see if the Multitool cabinet has been reload with a different multitool style if it looks like the one you want pick it up IF not try the above method from the space station and surrounding planets and moons until it changes to the one you want.

There are a few good guides for Multitool Hunting for NMS on youtube as well

You need to have the Survey Device in your Multitool and then use the analysis visor and switch modes to Power survey mode that has lighting bolt on it to find them besides mineral and gas ones; if you turn to one direction and you hear a brief audio squelch or beep try going in that direction and it should hopefully pick one up but it might be quite a distance from where you are

If you dump stuff into your freighter through the menu, it always go into your freighter's cargo, irrespective of the storage container's contents

Not really, when you are standing inside your freighter, when you transfer items, a new option should open up to dump your stuff into storage containers, then it will auto sort it for you, most of the time

so in my experience, when on the freighter and using the quick send to send to "storage" it tried to send it to the first open slot in Storage 0, then if that was full it attempted 1 and so down the line till it finds a open slot. So if you rename 0 to "Unsorted" and then purposfully named all the rest... it makes a pretty alright system... (till things start overflowing xD)

i dont think the game will ever live up to the hype of "millions of earth like worlds" but it seems like its getting better

i want more of a minecraft kinda thing though biomes, explorable things discoverable things, something to make it feel like an actual breathing planet that was sculpted out of geological events and millions of years, asteriods, planetary gravitation etc

Sadly tho, the mod which allows corvette parts in bases, makes bases not worth the upload since they just don't upload at all if you do so with those parts there

So, the base is visible if i were in the system

But if i'm not, the game just refuses to upload it

You can't remove base tech like the mining laser, only the upgrades. You're probably looking at the base stuff
