I suggest focusing on one good weapon. Corvettes at S class don't have a hue damage bonus, at most +30% damage. So you'll probably want one main weapon helped by a couple supercharged slots. It wastes a lot of slots and keeps you from having other upgrades if you bog down with too many weapons.

The expedition generator is not a mod. It is just downloading the SEASON_DATA_CACHE.JSON, going into offline mode, and pasting the SEASON_DATA_CACHE.JSON into the NMS folder

On your main save, go to the expedition terminal on the nexus, cache 8 stored or not yet installed tech items, and 24 cargo items... make sure your favorite multitool is active,make sure your favorite corvette or starship is active...

And start the expedition

That way you can copy your mainsave multitool (<3000 nannites) and corvette / starship (<3000 nannites) once you reach the anomoly

And at the end copy multiple of 8 tech and 24 cargo and multitool and ship back to main save

You don't even need mods...a save editor or even glitching can cheat any ship into making corvettes obsolete if you want to say "but mods"...it's an easy to cheat game. But no, there are a lot of purposes and tasks for which corvettes are not very well suited.

I keep multiplayer off pretty much entirely. I very rarely play with someone...like less than 2 hours a year. I generally find it a waste of time. You can't do PvP unless you cheat anyway and I have no intention of making badly broken ships that don't even work for anything beyond stupid damage.

my steam deck gets roughly 60 frames in most situations with the lowest graphics, so it's duable, i just dislike the drops when using my inventory and in the anomaly
