Yeah play it on lower resolution. 720p or 1080p. That will help compensate for the CPU working so hard.

If it was the AMD CPU variant it would be a little bit better. But with that Snapdragon X you're going to have a bit more lag at times.

I've had moons that were in the planet's rings before. I found that if I wandered around enough I could find parts of the moon that were outside the rings' display effects. Try looking at the poles for example.

It's not bad. But no man's sky is demanding on the processing ability of the system. Which is why it runs so much better on current generation consoles than last gen. Much better processing power.

Think your biggest issue is going to be loading times being a bit longer and terrain generation slowing down. But you can compensate for that in the in-game settings. To scale back how far it's generating terrain so the closer stuff comes to you faster

NMS moved a lot of geometry to the GPU with Worlds II update. My GPU was fine (strong, PC) but my CPU is more recent -- CPU loads have gone down with that move.

This sounds very familiar... Try changing to first person view, then switch to another starship, then switch back, and then change to third person view. (My recollection of the workaround is fuzzy, this likely is not optimal.)

IIRC Beachhead was the one I fell 1.5 hours short of finishing on the first release because my frigate expeditions were too slow to finish before the Expedition did (I was busy elsewhere and that was the last goal to complete. I was ever so glad when the first Beachhead Redux was run (and they reduced the time commitment for that particular goal as well) so I could complete it.

You know... According to general relativity the passage of time should slow down as your velocity increases. This was something that was tested and proven in 1971 by the hafele-keating experiment using atomic clocks.

Also, the earth is slowing down its rotation. This is due to mass redistribution, tidal friction from the moons gravitational influence, and other effects. So if the rotation is slowing down our speed on the surface of the earth would slow down too.

Best way to find freighters is to just sit around in space for a little while and they will warp in around you, they are system dependent besides a few (like the pirate freighter and mega freighters)

so if you want a cool looking one you can check the NMS coords subreddit or i think theres a channel in this discord too

I do not think that is possible, once you have finished the expedition, everything becomes either units or nanite.
The only thing I learned recently is that if you build a base during the expedition, it actually stays into your main save.
I guess, you could claim a base there but I am almost certain that your corvette will be converted into units/nanites, the game actually tells you that.

Locate the planet is easy, as for locating the corvette, there is more to it.
Once you swap ship, that is your main and the other one if you went too far away, the scanner won't pick it up.
I guess go to the space station, try to summon the corvette there but I am not sure, you cannot summon ships with broken landing gear there.
How did you manage to break the landing gear anyway??
