there is game time and there is real time. AFAIK the freighter encounters are every 3hrs real-time. regardless if you are in game or not. If you warp 5 times in 1 hr since the last encounter, then you log out for the day, it should give you the encounter on the next warp after you log back on.

After some testing we realized it's not just where the teleporters facing. But also where your base computer is.

Corvette spawns in almost a direct line between your base computer and teleporter. And if your teleporter is facing away from the base computer and oftentimes spawns directly above the teleporter.

Since we can move base computers now you should be able to put it a little ways outside of your base. With your teleporter on the edge facing it. That should give it plenty of open space to spawn your Corvette without glitching out

Once you kill the actual Walker you have to loot its top head piece to get the brain. And sometimes that can either fall underground or quite a ways off to the side when it dies.

So if it doesn't just fall on the ground where it dies look around the area or underground directly below it to find its brain
