There's an element of randomness, but if the overall stats are that low it's probably a bug. Try bringing it into the editor and leaving, you don't need to change anything, it's real stats should come back

so I had a solar S class ship, and now my corvette is ofc C class, so I cannot really compare the two stats, but I just transfered all my tech on the corvette, and wanted to know if it was worth using it

how many stats will you gain by upgrading the class, because if I compare the two (with tech equiped):

if you are in the system where your ship is broken, and you try to summon, your ship is still at the original location where it was broken and it cannot reach you because no fuel or w/e.
If you go to a new system, or reload your save, then that ship location is cleared and it is simply in your ship slots, so you can summon even if it's broken.

I wouldn't say the big ball hauler is a common rare. not like the exotics. the big baller is probably more rare because it's not what everyone has.
the difficulty in getting the 'rares' is not appealing to me.
