The extreme weather paradise planet I got is actually one with infinite toxic mist. I have no idea how that manifests, but it hasn't got an environmental hazard worth the name, since it doesn't ping the exosuit at all. It just gets hard to see when the fog rolls in.

the weather types of mega-exotics can range from low to high like other planets, not sure about extreme weather. The weather descriptors for mega-exotics are not tied to the tiers though, so you could have a planet with Infinite Toxic Mist that is mild or harsh.

Yeah, I just found it funny. Activated Indium, Extreme Weather warnings, Infinite Toxic Mist in red letters, and all it has is bubbles and fog. :P

Did give me a fun welcome though.

I descended into it during a "storm" event, and the first thing to greet me was a mountain peak manifesting out of the fog about ten meters in front of me, while I'm in full planetary entry dive. it was about another kilometer down to the ground.

The mega-exotics are the planets with the chromatic filters, so you can find a nice blue filter, or red filter planet, or the black and white environments.

I have a base location that can't really be done justice by a screenshot with my graphics settings (not that I can post a screenshot here yet anyway, heh). It's basically this hillock with a large natural cave system, but it's got an NPC structure sitting at its foot, and there's now this massive hexagonal chunk of flattened land intersecting it, exposing the caves in the vertical cliffs. And the main cave opening faces rolling hills and lakes that probably look a lot nicer for people with actual graphics cards. :P

I got the beginnings of a base in there, with a pilgrim exobay, and I can basically just step out of the house, into my bike, and ride down the cave and out the bottom exit.

I spent like 5 hours on a Gas Giant planet building a mining outpost, fighting the storms and tornadoes. (got like 4 milestones in Survival, lol).. And then right about the time I was finished, I fell into a hole in the ground that opened up to a vast cave network with huge interconnected rooms. DOH! I need to move my base underground.

This entire system of mine, is crazy.
It's got five planets.
One is literally a frozen hell. That's its type. Extreme blizzards, activated indium, all kinds of abominations roaming.
One is the other type of hell. Extreme combustible duststorms, fire everywhere.
One is a fungal planet with extradimensional flora and fauna and planetwide gravitational anomalies.
One is an airless rock.
And in the middle of them, the calmest extreme paradise planet with infinite toxic mist and bubbles.

Extreme paradise. It's listed as "bountiful", it has next to no sentinels, weather listed as "infinite toxic mist", and activated metals. And bubbles, yes.

That's localized. There's also planetwide, as storms. If you're in a well upgraded Nomad, you can basically fly since it very much doesn't want to fall.

Because ironically the inventory can get so arcane you might actually forget what's in there if the game doesn't remind you. The logic is that you wouldn't keep a useful usable around for no reason, so the game reminds you that you have it so you can use it. Or sell it.

And yes, offline, reloading the restore save gives the quicksilver back.
I am not a fan of hacking but there is no other way to earn quicksilver and when building base, any decoration cost 400-800 quicksilver, it is not fair 😅

Derelict freighter, it is not fair to spend 5M units only to get a Class-C tech, so I did use the exosuit refiner.
I eventually found 2 neighbour systems giving Class-S freighter tech, no glyphs 😌

Stick with planets that have these bombs as Salvage Container, I got all of that in one, they usually give 4-5 corvette parts.
Avoid the ones that have 1, 2 oe 3 legs attached to the core, it barely gives you 3 parts.
If you find a planet with those bombs, you will be farming corvette parts like fu

Have there been any updates to settlements since like a year or two ago? I hated that your settlement is always attacked every time you visit it with no way to secure it. Sort of an annoying thing to have to do a battle against robots every time

I dunno but it's not like that now. There is a threat level that builds up until there is a sentinel attack. And I think the sentinel threats stop after some point.

It’s just a funny dev decision. Most of the life on all planets is peaceful (even when it seems like it should be dangerous) but yet your settlement is the place that’s never safe and you have to fight every time you visit it. I honestly just ignore it for the most part because I don’t want to go there and have a giant battle with drones every time I want to check in on it

Yeah, seems like it was an early but undercooked feature. Maybe never got popular enough for them to invest more time into. I don’t even remember what it does. Makes a few credits for you each time you check up on it?

There are some advantages for having a settlement, like the S-class fishing pond is useful. There is a guild and a technology merchant and a galactic terminal as well.

also the starship landing pads have salvage stations. thought that was kinda neat.. would be good if they had a MT decomission terminal also.

You don't need to find one, they just have more ferrite mineral rocks/ no flora. They are just more ideal for farming ferrite.

You need to finish ||the atlas mission line, Artemis mission line then complete the autophage mission line. Start warping in a system with corrupt sentinels to start it.||

Fighters are quite okay, as the name suggests they’re best for dogfights in ships but also have good stats in general.

Depending on the class you find of course

All the way up to S class

C being worst and S being best, A and B in between

Fighters are better damage, Explorers are better warp. Haulers are bigger capacity (to start with), Shuttles are mids

Yeah it won’t do you much harm to salvage a shuttle, but keep in mind Exotics are rare, only ever seen a few land in a station.

Generally you will want one of every ship type anyway. Try them all.
There is game achievements for aquiring S-class ships of each type anyway. At least for fighter, explorer and hauler.

Can you get a Vykeen Settlement with Alloy style buildings?

Brown Dwarf Concept:
These are Planets that are Giant af like around 3-6* larger then a giant planet
they are big and massive enough to give out dim light
these are purple star exclusive and are rare (1% every purple star)
because they are giant they are super far away from other planet typically 5-10x further away then all the other planets are from each other
when you visit them(not recommended cuz they could easily burn ur ship unless ur in creative) they have a similar interferance to gas giants but they are red-orange color and Like 1000-2000 Degrees fahrenheit and behind will be an ocean of lava
they can affect other planets night time like if its night time and ur on the side of a planet facing a brown dwarf you will get very dim lighting (1-5% of the light from the main star)
and a little gloom of light from it
if theres a suggestion channel for this please let me know and i would like to hear your thoughs about this
