You only have your most recent automatic and manual saves to choose from. However, if you can manually backup and restore the save files themselves, you can restore those over those two slots and time travel that way. Someone really should write an external script to do that...

not sure I ever used the pilgrim. I did exocrafts before the pilgrim even existed, so I actually only just got around to buying the recipes for the pilgrim and still haven't placed a spawner for it.
I think it is the fastest, yeah, but the main issue with all the exocraft is terrain. I dunno how the pilgrim handles hills, etc. For eg.

In the expedition you had to do this jump. So of course I jumped into a storm and couldn't see the ground at all. I was lucky though and landed ok

you just tap the jetpack when you approach the ground. You don't need to keep blasting it. Then you run out. You don't need to time anything really. You tap the jetpack slow down a little and as you approach the ground you get a better sense of the distance. Practice from lower heights first maybe? jump off cliffs, or mountains.
