In case anyone was wondering if it worked OK: I just enabled cross save for Nintendo and Steam, and continued my Switch 2 save on the PC so I could finish the expedition. It was bugged on the Switch so I couldn't teleport off the derelict freighter. I'm not going to try to play on the Switch 2 again until 6.05.1 or greater drops on the Switch in case something gets corrupted. But, at least I was able to wrap up the expedition.

Yes it only finds one camp but if you're chasing sentinel interceptors you only need the one camp because you can just leave a save beacon and go back over and over to find a new dissonance spike (aka crashed ship)

I did spend hours jumping from system to system to donate to reach Exalted coz of the limit per Space Station. It was no joke but worth it.
Now I just collect everything for free when visiting the stations.

this game has a lot to offer, but its all very surface level. If you'd add PVP, it'd be also very surface level, which kinda sucks for PVP. And they don't have the capacity to really focus on it I believe.

hi, im pretty new to the game, i just got a really basic corvette built... was exploring a little and began to notice, most planets are just one thing and thats it... are there any planets that have more diversity? like, i went to a temperate planet, and it seemed really ineteresting, a lot of it was a big ocean. but with not much on either the ground or in the water

tl;dr are there planets with multiple biomes, similar to earth or something like that, or is it mostly just uniform planets with some very rare exceptions?

i was hoping i could find one particular planet that is like super deep with its diversity, so i could make a home base and explore the whole planet in depth. but ur right the game is more about just going planet to planet, being a traveller

Planets can only have one biome unfortunately, the most diversity you’ll see in a single planet is the terrain (planets with thousands of islands, planets with extreme mountains mixed with deep trenches or flat plains, etc)

Don't let this stop you from spending time on planets though. One biome, but often you are 15min away from catching a pretty nice sight

LNF’s philosophy is almost a direct contrast to NMS. But the development in both games helps the other game out

The biome diversity and overall depth in LNF’s single planet will ultimately help NMS with their own depth and planet variety.

any time you land on a planet its basically like, a snippet of the entire planet, so while you may only need to spend those 15 minutes on said planet to get the full breath of what its like, what is there is honestly still impressive compared to any other space games i can think of lmao

The idea is that diversity in NMS comes in the form of planets, you’re not just supposed to explore one

Make decisions that boost productivity to help them pay off the debt

Then they will start produce goods for you
